Would Butch come as a DC?

Why hire the student, when you can hire the Master?

What is it, with supposed fans wanting inferiors as Head Coach?

We've had enough Amateur Hour! Three in a row already??

We can't have another mediocre Head Coach!

Do you have interenet access? He was also the OC for the most prolific offense in Miami Hurricane history. This program went in the ****ter when Chud left in 2003.

Chud was the tight ends coach under Butch.

UNDER BUTCH.

UNDER.

BUTCH.

Do YOU have internet access?

Who was he UNDER? Who brought him here?

I seem to recall that Clappy was also a really good UM Coordinator.

Get it?

There are Program Builders/Managers, and there are great Coordinators and Position Coaches.

You are wanting lower level producers over the top, PROVEN, Program Builder/Manager.

WTF?

How many titles with clappy calling the plays = 0

How many with Chud calling the plays = 1 (should have been 2)

Butch is and always will be a ****** conservative game day coach that is totally reliant on his coordinators.

Chud is younger, calls his own plays and would have a much better resume coming in than Butch did. You want Bobby Bowden or Jimbo?

Jimbo didn't miss a beat when Coley left because Jimbo calls the plays!

We nede a head coach that's success is not tied to his OC......see Nick Saban and Gary Patterson.

I actually wonder if Butch would go to Texas as a DC under their next head coach? The salary would be comparable to a mid-level head coaching gig and would probably be his last and fastest path to a legitimate head coaching job. I still think he would have been the perfect candidate for the SMU opening.

I see you weren't a Business major.

Top corporate CEO's hire department executives. They don't man the phones.

And no. Chud does NOT have a better resume. And as Head Coach - Chud better not be calling the plays. He needs to be the Head Coach, concerned with all phases of the game.

And Chud couldn't hold Butch's jock when it comes to talent evaluation and talent recruiting.

The Head Coach sets the tone. The Coordinators follow his model - and then execute.

Randy Shannon also won a title as a coordinator. Same as Chud.

This isn't Wal Mart *****....it's football. We bought the "CEO" bull**** with Golden.

Miami isn't Bama that can afford to pay 1 mil per coordinator.

Saban's success is directly tied to his ability to find the right OC.

Chud will be the next head coach at Miami....you should be excited. He will bring Dorsey down to help coordinate offense and coach QB's.

Chud worked under Butch and Jimmy and has been in the NFL for 10 years. If you don't think he can evaluate HS football players at this point you are clearly biased. Maybe he will be a better evaluator than Butch...who knows.? I do know that he has the experience and pedigree to make you confident he will be a superior talent evaluator.

Butch could wax the floors in the Hecht at night, as long as they put a blackboard up in the hallway with some chalk, I'm good.

Yeah but Randy was on the staff during the Coker downfall years and was partly responsible for them. He was a terrible recruiter as a DC and as a head coach.

Chud's record as OC was 35-3.

Randy's record as DC was 60-15 including the 7-6 2006 team.

Sahnnon was exposed for what he was in 2006. A ****** football coach.

Chud has been wildly successful at every step except for the abortion year in Cleveland.

Chud is Miami's answer to Jimbo.....but Chud will be superior.

You want a 65 year old coach that could only manage to win 8 games in three straight years at UNC with a totally loaded football team?

Butch has always been the best talent evaluator in the biz....but a below average head football coach.

Chise....love you man but are you f**king kidding?

Chud's Resume

1. 3 National Championhsip Ringz (2 as player);

2. Was named OC in 2001 and the Hurricanes won the national championship. A year later, the Canes offense set school records for points, total yards and rushing touchdowns;

3. In 2005, Chudzinski was hired as the tight ends coach of the San Diego Chargers. With the Chargers, he coached All-Pro tight end Antonio Gates. In 2007, Chudzinski was named the offensive coordinator of the Cleveland Browns. That year the Cleveland Browns ranked eighth overall on offense, sent 4 offensive players to the Pro Bowl, and finished 2nd in the AFC North with a record of 10-6, their most wins since 1994;

4. In 2011, Chudzinski was named the Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator. He took one of the league's worst offenses in 2010 and transformed it into one of the top 10 offenses in 2011 with rookie quarterback Cam Newton. The Panthers finished seventh overall in the league on offense, fifth in points scored, and set a new franchise record for total yards in a season;

5. Coached under the great Butch Davis and played for Jimmy Johnson;

6. Has rolodex to put together great staff;

7. The Cleveland thing was a joke....was only given one year and his QB went down in game 4. Butch failed in Cleveland. Nick Saban failed in Miami. Means nothing.

Tito Fuente's Resume

Crickets.......

Bro, all the accomplishments you have listed of Chud have been as a assistant, coordinator or as a player.

No one is arguing if he can make a good coordinator. There have been a lot of great coordinators that have been terrible head coaches.

What exactly indicates to you that he would make a great college head coach?

Hey, dumba$$. Golden's not a CEO. Golden's a fraud.

You really think Saban calls plays? You really think all the other top coaches call plays?

Chud isn't coming to Miami. We don't need Chud. Mario. Or a lot of other half-a$$ed suggestions.

One more mistake - and this program will completely fold.

I have some other bad news. That 2001 team was on auto-pilot.

EVERYBODY'S success is in finding the right Coordinators. New flash! Chud ain't it.

How many pro coaches fell flat on their asses in college - and vice-versa? Where's Chud's head coaching experience? What colleges? What program has HE pulled from the scraps and created the greatest college team ever assembled.

You must Chud's momma or something bizarre. Between the current UM Coaching staff on here confusing things on purpose, and family members of Chud, Mario, and other good guys - but not good Head Coaches - this place is a Zoo.

Lets not act like its totally outta the realm for someone 60+ to coach in modern CFB

I have no interest in knocking Chud.

He might be the guy. And if he's interested, he definitely deserves consideration.

Jim Mora wasn't all that stellar in the NFL, but seems to be a fit in college ... Even though he had no real prior experience before accepting the UCLA job.

That noted:

1. 3 National Championhsip Ringz (2 as player); And he'll always be a Cane Hall of Famer

2. Was named OC in 2001 and the Hurricanes won the national championship. A year later, the Canes offense set school records for points, total yards and rushing touchdowns; And decided to leave the college game to be the TE coach in Cleveland. Seems like he prefers the pro game.

3. In 2005, Chudzinski was hired as the tight ends coach of the San Diego Chargers. With the Chargers, he coached All-Pro tight end Antonio Gates. Then Sumlin was hired, from Houston, and immediately won

5. Coached under the great Butch Davis and played for Jimmy Johnson;

6. Has rolodex to put together great staff; How do you know this, and how can it be proven?

And most importantly ...

Chud's record as OC was 35-3.

Tom Herman has a national title ring, coached for Urban Meyer, and went 38-3 as an OC.

Justin Fuente coached for Gary Patterson and went 36-3 as an OC.

Both have better records than Chud as an OC. And as coaches, Meyer is better than Butch ... And it could be argued Patterson is, too.

So, if that's really your criteria ... It looks like the "MAC coaches" should be in the running ...

Thank you for making my point *******!

I love Herman...winning at Ohio State is different than winning at TCU dawg.
