Biggest joke is Fisch. Go hire a guy who hated recruiting and had done nothing of significance as a football coach to be a college HC. .Makes sense.
 
We need to stop playing around and get Butch Davis.. end of story.

Bc I don't think we can afford Golden buyout plus a HC under contract buyout, stoops is not an option
I sort of feel like rich rod isn't either.

Yea a stepping stone to a big time program. Our job right now isn't much better than the Kentucky one.
 
I don't get the Pruitt stuff. Guy has never been a head coach on any level. ****, he was a HIGH SCHOOL ASSISTANT until 2007.

While Miami is better than Kentucky, he could probably do better depending on which jobs come open. Best thing that could happen would be for Muschump to win 8 games and keep his job. Stoops would probably want uf over us
 
Butch is the obvious favorite, but for any other selection if not a proven head coach, I just hope that its somebody that was mentored under somebody great. Somebody somewhat young, great recruiter and either coaches defense really well or offense really well.

Golden had head coaching experience. Jimbo Fisher didn't. I just want the best guy.

Pruitt is a freakishly good recruiter-- parents talk about him like the Branch Davidians talked about David Koresh. He won Recruiter of the Year going after the same kids we want.

As a defensive coordinator, he adjusted his hybrid scheme to FSU's athletes and created a monster. I respect the flexibility he showed. So far this year, he's taken Georgia's defense from 63rd to 17th in yards per play.

He strikes me as an SEC guy, but if he wants this job I give it to him.
 
If Golden was fired this morning and I had to put a percent on whom the admin would choose..

it'd be 70% Schiano.

I doubt ufayg goes after another DC type of HC right after the Muscrap abortion. They will be looking much higher profile.

Those guys were head coaches in high school, Hoss. Jeremy Pruitt was a DB coach at a high school in 2006. He's been a college coach since 2010. Never been a head coach. Never been in charge of anything. Changes jobs every 2 years or so.

I'd like to hire him as DC. No problem there. But if I'm going to hire a head coach at Miami, I'd prefer more experience than 4 years at 3 schools as a defensive assistant.
