What this program needs

Wrote this in another thread but I had the director of premium client experience on the phone yesterday, literally telling me that Flake is the best person for the U. Said he's the chair of the AD committee, actually said, can you imagine out of all the ADs, he's the one who's chair. That's how respected and revered he is across the country. Lulz, we facked
Uggh. Looks like we're all gonna need 55 gallon barrels of butt-lube for the prison raping we're going to be getting as long as he's here.

We need to be ruthless again. Fck anyone who thinks we should wait around another year for this corpse to kill us.

We need an innovative spread guru, who can inject some immediate excitement into this moribund corpse of a program. Start lighting up the scoreboard and giving ourselves a little bit of a margin for error.

Quit trying to win every game 17-14. We need a guy who can take the advantage we have here in South Florida (speed and skill talent) and exploit it, not neuter it. We have guys talking about our rich talent base, yet we hire these conservative old school plodding coaches who want to play 1970s Big 10 football. It’s one misfit after another. One boring bum after another.

Our only real hope is a Lincoln Riley type who comes in and gives us an IMMEDIATE schematic advantage where we can make up for our lack of talent and current depth and recruiting inefficiencies. We need a guy who can buy some time with his offense while we create some excitement with the brand that will ignite recruiting.

We can’t afford another “he needs a few years” type of hire, which is why we need a “light up the scoreboard” hire. The worst thing about our program is it is FCKING BORING AF. It’s got no juice or panache. Yeah it sucks to lose. But it sucks way more to lose in such a boring fcking way.

"Lincoln Riley" type: no one in CFB is closer to that description than Josh Heupel. Leach disciple, stud recruiter (just stole a Hawaiian qb from UGA), and now has built relationships for S Fl recruiting.

Bill Clark (UAB). He is a defense coach who has a wide open offense, and he doesn't mind putting points on the board. Foot on the gas pedal and doesn't let up. He is in the mold of JJ. Gets the most out of his players. He already recruits Florida. He signed IMGs QB and Larry Smith out of Miami-Norland. His LB coach played and coached at Carol City and was an analyst on FSU's staff when they won their last NC. Y'all are seriously sleeping on this man.

False , scheme matters today more than ever.

Bama went to more spread , rpo and using tempo because they know they needed to change with the times. The same reason why they recruit mostly dual threat qb’s.

Again, this is something that Greg Cossell has hammered home more than ever this year during his segments where he talks football from his film breakdowns with Colin Cowherd. Scheme/play-calling/concepts, absolutely matters

The next Riley has been climbing the ladder since Baylor.

Baylor
Fau
Houston
FSU

Churns our Top 5 offenses like turds after Taco Bell. He’s on the fast track to stardom.

We’re sitting on our asses watching.

He is among the best at the business side of the AD spectrum. What you just said might be our saving grace tho. This guy is like a virgin who finally got some tail and is walking with his chest out all of a sudden. He loves being revered and having a seat at the cool table, and he knows what happened this year is an embarrassment and puts his status at risk.

Listen, I know we give the guy a ton of ****, but the shame and loss of respect among peers (now that he's in the club) might be what causes him to finally grow a pair.
He gave Richt a 20M buyout after a 10 win season that ended in a 3 game loosing skid.
I think we can hold on the "one of the best AD"

The “let’s give him another year” crowd is back at it again. This proverb is a South Florida special and I don’t understand what another year will do to help rid this program of the Rick stench. Not only does it suck to lose but watching this team play is quite possibly the worst form of entertainment the world has ever seen.

The man you quoted literally said "He is among the best at the business side of the AD spectrum" and you took that to say he claimed he is one of the best? Amazing what people fail to comprehend.

So he didn't said Blake is one of the best AD in the country?

EDIT- I thought managing the Department money correctly was on the business side of the spectrum

A coach who isn't afraid to have Miami viewed as the villian's again. The team you love to hate again. Richts more concerned with the image of the program than the product on the field.

So he didn't said Blake is one of the best AD in the country?

He said one of the best at the business side of the spectrum. In other words, the money side of being an AD. If you feel he is not good at making money, that's your prerogative. Most of us have an issue with the athletic side of his AD role.

Dino Babers.

I've been opining that for many, many, many and many more moons! The man gets MORE out of 3-Star/2-Star HS players than one can believe. And small town Ames, Iowa is an absolutely TERRIBLE place to get talented HS players to come too. Yikes. And dig this. Coach Campbell had the GAUL to start a TRUE FRESHMEN UNKNOWN SMALL TOWN quarterback, after his Cyclones got off to a slow start. Go figure.

So give Richt one more season under the humid south Florida skies and CHIT CAN his **** and send him back to Georgia or Tally! Because Cane dudes are going to see a similar scenario, akin to this season, take place next season. OUCH.

Did you watch that Miami defensive coordinator fail to stop the run even though he knew it was coming. Wisconsin is still piling up the yards.

Agree. He never ever put EIGHT in the box. The entire ball game. And any major dude knew Wisconsin was going to pound the rock up the middle until Miami could stop them.

He’s one of the best ADs in the business but we have our head coach donating a million dollars and still fall short?

Give me UCFs AD. Guy just made two consecutive great hires and probably will a third time.
