Not sure on Babers, not that he’s not an upgrade....because anything is at this point, but I also want a recruiting savage. The more I think about it I like a guy like Mario. He’s a CEO, not an OC or DC. Hires the right guys, not married to any system, and an absolute savage in recruiting that will do what it takes.

No more CEOs. The CEO model doesn’t work here because we don’t have the time. String together a couple mediocre seasons while trying to build your roster, and the fans turn on you. It goes toxic. Then it’s nearly impossible to recruit well no matter who you are.

This is a different place and these are different times. We don’t have the luxury at this program of a slow build. We need an immediate splash and a monster blast of excitement we haven’t had here in forever. You can only get that with an offensive wizard.

On top of all that, all these monster recruiters seem to struggle here when they don’t have bags. Then they implode completely if they have a mediocre season or two.

It’s not just a CEO, it’s the savage mentality. A CEO does what it takes to deliver to his share holders. I don’t need a guy that’s locked into some antiquated ideology. We had Golden and that **** defense, now Richt and his **** offense. I want a guy that will be able to adjust to the latest trends and get the job done, including on the recruiting front. I want an agnostic who cares about nothing other than winning.

We need to be ruthless again. Fck anyone who thinks we should wait around another year for this corpse to kill us.

We need an innovative spread guru, who can inject some immediate excitement into this moribund corpse of a program. Start lighting up the scoreboard and giving ourselves a little bit of a margin for error.

Quit trying to win every game 17-14. We need a guy who can take the advantage we have here in South Florida (speed and skill talent) and exploit it, not neuter it. We have guys talking about our rich talent base, yet we hire these conservative old school plodding coaches who want to play 1970s Big 10 football. It’s one misfit after another. One boring bum after another.

Our only real hope is a Lincoln Riley type who comes in and gives us an IMMEDIATE schematic advantage where we can make up for our lack of talent and current depth and recruiting inefficiencies. We need a guy who can buy some time with his offense while we create some excitement with the brand that will ignite recruiting.

We can’t afford another “he needs a few years” type of hire, which is why we need a “light up the scoreboard” hire. The worst thing about our program is it is FCKING BORING AF. It’s got no juice or panache. Yeah it sucks to lose. But it sucks way more to lose in such a boring fcking way.

He’s brought his DC everywhere he’s gone. No...unless he hires a good DC.

No DCs dominate when you run the offense Dino runs. His DC actually does a good job considering the offense. He’s a downhill attacking guy and he’d be fine here. He’s as good as Diaz, but with the Briles offense your DC will never pitch shutouts every week. But he doesn’t have to.

We need to get out of that antiquated defense first ****. Get an offensive innovator and pair him with a downhill DC who takes advantage of our speed base, and we’d kill.

Why is it clear as day to many of us engaged thoughtful fans.... however the administration does not see this ? Do they straight not care or is it lack of football acumen ? Or something else ?
