What a world

I could see a QB switch. I just don’t know if Emory is ready. With our OL and backs, the best option might be an offense built around Jacurri’s running but it’s too late for that.

I think next year’s QB is on a different team.

So last year it was the OC

This year it’s the QB

Year 3 if the offense still sucks with a new QB, it’s on Mario

The difference with Bama is they have 4 and 5 star QBs on the roster and we’re still looking for more

Mario was too busy stacking OL and RBs for his 1980s offense instead of realizing he prob needs real depth at QB in case of injury or collapse like this
Barking up the wrong tree. D$ is all about the roll over and don't try QB business.

Hindsight is always 20/20 but if you go back and watch the film during the good stretch the warning signs were there. A lot of “great passes” that didn’t need to be forced because there were better options out there. Forget which game 1-4 but he hit X on a sideline route that if the DB turned around its batted down or a pick. Everyone was like wow what a pass. What most missed was R Williams running free down the middle of the field wide open. The pick against Miami Oh as well. There were other examples but they were overshadowed by the success and euphoria of the A&M game. Yeah he threw some great passes during that 4 game stretch but once the competition got better those windows got smaller. GT exploited it with their coverages and the rest of the opponents picked up on it. His comfort level dropped and that’s when he regressed to only targeting X 35+ times (or whatever it was) over 2 games. Now he looks completely out of sync and indecisive. Need to make a change.
This is what I don't understand. You are 100% correct, but why is he out of sync and indecisive? So, the defenses we face have all gone with a zone type scheme? No, that can't be all there is to it, but I don't have the answer.

I'm watching the game and I'm seeing the O-line give him plenty of protection. Has all day to throw the ball, minus a few times when NC St brought pressure. I've never seen a qb this indecisive. And, don't tell me the WR's are not getting separation or getting open. Plenty of screenshots showing multiple receivers open. Also, just watching the replays will show some of the receivers are getting separation and open on majority of pass plays.

Any chance next year’s OC is on the different teams as well…?

So there were 3 plays that summed it up for me ... All 3 NCS rushed 3 defenders against 5 O-linemen and they got sacks each time.. One of which Tyler sacked himself due to ghost foot steps... I believe that was the last one...
That stuff is squarely on Tyler.. No excuses... All on Tyler...
It's reminding me of Jarren Williams where he wouldn't throw the ball and just sit there and wait for the worst case scenario to hit him....and it did... Just freaking aggravating to watch all night...Something has to change...

Imho, a raw Emory is better than whatever version of TVD is playing right now. If Emory can beat a Top-5 Clemson defense, he can give us a shot against FSU. At least a better shot than TVD. He got into a rhythm in the second half of that Clemson game, especially in the Fourth. Rely on our running game and give our young QB a chance.

He actually threw the ball better when he was facing pressure. You give him a second to think and he ***** his pants. The coaching staff has done him no favors they should’ve sat his *** weeks ago in retrospect. At least give him a chance to go seek another team. At this point the kid is broken. And a lot of it falls on Mario and his bull**** imprints on the offense. TVD was not a bad QB, he was better as a freshman.

not ready? TVD is not ready. Our offense has been dumbed down because he has to be in shotgun, never looks to the left side of the field, struggles to throw for 50%, 2-3 ints, and a fumble a game. I mean this is getting ridiculous.

Don’t agree. It’s all on coach.

Especially when Emory already performed against Clemson. Can’t unring that bell. Yes, it’s on QB, but there is an option to use.

It's almost getting worse then not kneeling it by keep playing tvd. 10 interceptions in 4 games ??? Hahah that's insane lol

The difference between Bama and Miami- Saban isn’t afraid to pull his starting QB due to bad play. The lack of accountability impacts everyone. I could continue but his culture is now getting killed by his own decisions.

The good thing is now we just sit back and enjoy all this evaluating that goes on at QB recruiting. Anyone that doesn't trust that Mario and Alonzo can identify the right 3* QB that NO OTHER TEAM IN AMERICA WANTS!!!!!!!! Is just a mope.
Those that think Pratt is our savior…they’re in for a rude awakening in ‘24.

9 wins at best under him with an absolute joke of a schedule. He’s an above-average college QB…which is pretty good for Mario to be fair.

But we must submit to the old ways…If he doesn’t have a SFL connection, I don’t want him.

Yes Emory is...and his teammates agree.
I'm not say he is or he isn't bc i have no idea how he looks in practice, in film study, etc. (his first game did not eliminate questions for me).

That said, teammates thought Jake Garcia was ready too. Players thought past coaching hires were the best. While it's good to hear they support a kid or think he's ready, it's not always the best barometer to use.

I'm on record of saying TVD should have started this last game because i think we need him on track and in rhythm to beat FSU.....i don't think we stand a chance scoring enough points with Emory. It did not happen and by the 2nd half, coaches should have tried something else, anything else. I blame Mario and Dawson just as much as TVD bc they decide the lineup, the formations and the route concepts. All 3 have been ***.

But we know TVD isn’t ready.
