I see a lot of pointing to the 2011 and 2012 classes as proof Golden's evaluations didn't work out. But not a lot of discussion on the fact D$ is now saying Gadbois looks like a beast, or about how Gunter turned out, or that Figueroa has all the promise to be a dominant Sam. What about Owens from Georgia, a camp pickup, or D Jackson, who wasn't ranked when we first offered? What about Kaaya getting offered by us first? Or Rozier?
Stop being selective. Everyone hits and misses, even great talent evaluators like Butch had misses everywhere. The question is will Golden address the misses quickly and increase his hit ratio over time. I think the 2013 and 2014 classes show the vector is in the right direction.
Back to Gordinier. His highlight was solid. Kid has a great head on his shoulders. Was all over the field making plays on the ball. He fits into Golden's scheme perfectly, as he showed he can handle multiple assignments in different sets. He wasn't just offered by MSU. He was also offered by Duke and Northwestern. He definitely has it going on upstairs, and looks like a real leader on the field.
