UM players at the combine numbers/projections

i saw 5.01 officially on the combine tracker which isn't bad at all for a 6'5" 300lb dude. now i don't know how he looks during drills. so far running a high 4.8 is considered fast for today's group

Guy ran 4.7, but didn't have a lot of 4-3 ends or 3-4 backs in that group. Athletically he's as good as anyone, but you can tell how poorly coached he was. It's night and day from when chickillo ran through the same drills, definitely can tell a guy who was with a decent coach in jethro and a poor one in randy

kamalu played under jethro for 2 years

again night and day difference between a guy groomed by jethro(chickillo) and another who had 1 year with jethro(Kamalu is a JUCO transfer) and two with Melvin

oh you're right my bad, but I'm not backing off my comment that he degressed under Melvin which he did. Ufomba had the same amount of TFL's as a sophomore(when he wasn't started) as well as more sacks as a sophomore and a junior then he did as a senior.

Correlation with his weight. More time in the defensive scheme he was forced to play. He went from like 6ft5in 270lbs up to 300lbs. The problem was above the DL coach.

He couldn't beat out Walford and Cleveland. He does look the part which is why he was highly rated.

He was never given the chance to beat out anyone. Did not fit the agenda.

Didn't golden doghouse him because he couldn't block or something? Definitely could have beaten out Cleveland skill wise. .fortunately we will have a coach who knows how to sub players in specific situations now

no offense to you, but I keep on telling people he's got inconsistent hands. He caught some balls and then he bodied others at the combine and he made two difficult catches in the gauntlet and dropped three easy ones that hit him in the hands. I don't remember Asante having that problem here.

hard to tell bc the sample size is so small. cleveland barely has any catches bc they never threw to him so idk what he was capable of doing. but i guess he has to be somewhat decent if a nfl team picked him up. i could see beau playing in the nfl. i mean even chase ford played pretty decent for the vikings and he did nothing while at Miami

that makes no sense if u are a lock for top 10 say laquaen treadwell thats cool but if u are rayshawn scott and u don't run thats a red flag to me.

didn't stand out athletically in measurables neither

its never a good look. even most of the top prospects at alot of positions ran. u saw qbs do it. ezekiel elliot did it. derrick henry did it. most wr's did it , its just weird. he is a borderline late round pick to ufa. and not running at combine just hurts him in long run. u kept hearing it during combine.

greg olsen talked about how it shows u are willing to compete and he did. to me if u are a sure fire top 10 pick not running may make some sense. but when u are a 7th or ufa not running may make it so u don't even get signed. stupid.
