UGA Fans Blaming Richt's Recruiting

Saban is a great coach in College where he can manipulate, dominate and trash people every time he has a tantrum. He found out in the NFL grown men won't take his sh*t. Name the coaches who made the successful leap from college to Pros. There is JJ and UMM? Who else? Harbaugh that is it.

Of course they will blame Richt and not the fact that great players don't want to go to a place like Athens which is a tobacco chewin, grit slurping, dentally impaired place but then I just remembered! There are places just like Athens for example Gainesville, Tallahassee and Tuscaloosa! What about Knoxville ask Tyler Byrd how Appalachian State was for a home opener cake walk? Don't want to schedule them again!

If that guy who still hates the Diaz hire tell him might be a dirt cheap discount on Uncle Rico (Van Gorder Richt's original DC at Ga when they were in the top 5 every year) if Diaz falls flat as he might be looking for a job next week! That is if The Canes ever want him I mean who wants him right now? He can't even stop a Charlie Strong offense without Teddy Bridgewater! I guess no laterals or Corn Elder to save ND from Duke this week means Uncle Rico isn't too far from the unemployment line!

Speaking of hot seat or wanting to hide Mark Dantonio's teams have looked putrid vs good competition. His once proud MSU defense has been whalloped by Bama and Wisconsin (even without Aranda) even his offense couldnt score more than 6 points! Dantonio disappeared from the sidelines down 30-6. No joke check it on ESPN he did a Patrino!

The point is get used to the parody in college football it is here to stay! Aside from counting on The Nicktator every year with his unlimited budgets for 356 assistants and free access to Scarlett's for all new recruits other teams will go through a cycle of Ups and downs. I would love to see Miami of the 80s. The question is it sustainable for any team outside the NCAA infraction laden group from Tuscaloosa?

I am actually going to say something I can't believe I am saying ! Honestly speaking Folden's recruits were not bad! He just happened to tbe he single worst head coach in the history of any sport! Add to this Mr LA Fitness and "No Nickel, No Dime Package" Dorito it wouldn't matter you could have The New England Patriots roster! With Folden, Dorito and Swasey they would be Dartmouth!

Bro, your wrong about Athens. That is one of the greatest college towns in the country. There are always going to be the haters. They are a small bunch of Richt haters led by Fran Tarkenton. They will blame Richt on everything. He consistently had great recruiting classes. He just couldn't get to the big dance. They needed a change just like LSU does and as both a Miami and UGA fan, I am glad they fired him and I am glad Clemson spanked us 58-0 last year leading to golden firing and bringing Richt to Miami. Perfect storm.

Unsure as to why there is SO much hate for UGA? Understand they SEC and we compete for recruits...

I am the biggest UGA fan one game a year...An enemy of my enemy is my friend.

My hate for UFag means I always retain a soft spot for the Dawgs.

It's like when teams hire Belichick assistants hoping to get a piece of the magic, only to realize they are nothing more than cogs. Which is why fans who wanted UM to hire Mario should refrain from talking about football ever again.

Some winning HC's seem to turn out future good HCs, others do not. I suspect that the huge control freak types do not hire or develop leadership skills in assistants, who then fail when on their own. Saban does not seem to have the touch, but turning our HC is not his job.

Interesting point ! Does anyone know how many HC have come from a Saban led team?

I wonder how much of it is to do with the personality of the Head Coach.

The ones that have a successful coaching tree seem to nurture the coaches they have on their staff. The ones that don't (like Saban and Belichick) seem to just care about winning and see the coaches as expendable as the players.

McElwain, Miles, Smart, Fisher off top of my head. D'Antonio, I think?

Is this a joke? Also, do you mean coaches that were both HCs in college or merely coached in college?

The following were HCs in college (not an exhaustive list)

1. Bill Walsh

2. Pete Carroll

3. Jim Caldwell

4. Jim Harbaugh

5. **** Vermeil

6. Jimmy Johnson

7. Barry Switzer

8. Marv Levy

9. George Seifert

10. Bobby Ross

Bill Parcels was even a HC in college.

I feel bad for UGA, first it's denial and shock, this phase maybe long and rollercoaster. Then there is acceptance, then anger. They're SEC and have money, so maybe they won't all 5 years like we did. Find the good coaches who struggle or lose to FCS doormats like Nicholl St. There are none.

No way you can blame Mark. Look dude won at least 9 games a year at UGA and he gave them the #1 QB in the nation.

Malzahn was on hot seat but got a reprieve thanks to a Les Miles coached team that can't score an offensive TD in like 2 years! How long has this been going on Baton Rouge remember that train wreck in the Nat Title game vs The Nicktator? I mean that was the worst offensive performance since Kyle Wright was under center! Another team Cam Cameron has destroyed!

Yeah, Dantonio was one of Saban's. Miles wasn't though. You could also throw in Dan Quinn and Jason Garret as Saban disciples if you include his pro tenure.

The initial post here is funny considering was a Belichick Assistant.

John Robinson was decent on both levels (USC and LA Rams)

This is exactly it. Very rare to get a "piece of the magic." Have to be very, very specific about fit. Things change when you don't have every competitive advantage at your disposal.

This is why Belichick is probably the one of if not the greatest coach ever ,although I hate the man.

Lol at saban being a "good coach but not great."

Hes the best rwcruiter he isntno genius we saw that with the dolphins

Pros are a different story. A lot of times you have to strike luck and hope your front office is worth a crap - the Phins are not. Saban's not the best pro coach, but he's still a **** good coach. Dude has 5 national titles on his resume, and 4 of them were within the last 7 years.

And "isn'tno" is a double negative, so you're aware.

He's not going to understand that.

Yea i isnt understand dat
