Hed be crazy not to go pro if he gets that gradeI think if he gets that feedback from NFL people, he goes pro bc it's a weak class. If he doesn't, he transfers.
Agree

With you against it I'm doubling down this is 100% the best path forwardLike how he looked in the sec championship or vs Indiana?
Choker
Mateer sucks as a passer (inaccurate).Seems like he would be a more mobile beck? and does a great job taking care of the ball (28 TDs, 5 Ints)? So with our OL and run game which Bama did not have, what am i missing here? Seems like an extremely solid at worst case fit and likely great fit.
Guess i'd prefer Mateer as i like running QB's but Ty seems like a better passer anyways.
Everyone in here said the same thing about BeckSimpson screams SEC. Hard to see him leaving the SEC and even harder seeing him as a cultural fit on a Miami team.
Clemson would be the threat im concerned about considering his relationship with Dabo & he was already committed there before flipping. Those schools would be threats too; no doubt.Lets say he goes into the portal, what makes you think he won't go to Tennessee, LSU or Ole Miss?
Lets slow down sucking his ****
Tenn will likely have Aguilar for another year (was JUCO like Pavia) and if not have two younger 5* QBsLets say he goes into the portal, what makes you think he won't go to Tennessee, LSU or Ole Miss?

Beck a kid from Jacksonville and played 7v7 in South Florida vs a kid that only played in the south. Yeah nobody said that about BeckEveryone in here said the same thing about Beck
LSU probably getting LeavittTenn will likely have Aguilar for another year (was JUCO like Pavia) and if not have two younger 5* QBs
LSU is likely getting Sorsby or Chambliss.
Ole Miss may have Chambliss another year and we are a MUCH better landing spot than Ole Miss.
Try to keep up with the thread mane
a) 80% of CIS thought he was a northern FL guy (basically GA) that wasn't going to fit inBeck a kid from Jacksonville and played 7v7 in South Florida vs a kid that only played in the south. Yeah nobody said that about Beck
Sorsby is going to TT btw
Facts.Man, if I was a QB trying to make it to the NFL on a 1 year deal I would certainly want to play behind the best o-line line in college football. The value of that is worth more than any NIL contract you could possibly sign.

I don’t know if he’ll end up here, but I’d bet he does the enter portal and draft dual option so that he can receive offers from schools. In that case, I’d also bet we pursue him pretty aggressively.Simpson to Miami makes too much sense.

As of Sunday night, no decision has been made about his future, a source with knowledge of the situation told AL.com. Simpson said in the locker room after the Rose Bowl he had not made any plans yet for 2026, and his actions since the game ended indicate that to be true. Now that the season is over, he’s taking the steps to help inform him to make the best decision.
He met with Alabama offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb on Saturday and Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer on Sunday, per source. All indications are those meetings went well and were productive.
Then early this week, Simpson will meet with people to help him better understand his potential NFL draft value, per source. Those discussions should help him get even more clarity on where he could get drafted.
The most likely outcomes at this juncture are that Simpson either stays at Alabama or declares for the NFL Draft. The door is open for both. Would he receive significant interest if he entered the transfer portal? Yes, but that seems to be the least likely outcome of the three at this point in time.
Our understanding of the situation is this – any plans of coming out for the draft hinge on there being a high probability of Simpson being a first-round pick.
At this moment, a decision is expected by the end of the week.
The deadline for Simpson to enter the NFL Draft is Wednesday, Jan. 14.
Clarity as soon as possible will only help Alabama’s quarterback situation for 2026. The transfer portal will remain open only until Jan. 16. It’s unlikely the Crimson Tide would keep Simpson, Austin Mack and Keelon Russell, the three scholarship quarterbacks for the 2025 season. Mack has been a backup for three seasons and is likely eager for a chance to start. Russell has only been in college for one year, but he’s a former blue chip recruit. Simpson’s decision will probably have a ripple effect with Mack and Russell.
