DeBoer has built Bama from the outside in. Simpson here with an actual OL would be very good.
Seems like he would be a more mobile beck? and does a great job taking care of the ball (28 TDs, 5 Ints)? So with our OL and run game which Bama did not have, what am i missing here? Seems like an extremely solid at worst case fit and likely great fit.
Guess i'd prefer Mateer as i like running QB's but Ty seems like a better passer anyways.

Simpson screams SEC. Hard to see him leaving the SEC and even harder seeing him as a cultural fit on a Miami team.

Everyone has bad games. Carson had bad games for UGA in 2024, that's why they let him walk. It's a projection. Midway through this season, there was talk of him being a 1st Round NFL pick.

I don't get the cultural fit stuff. It's 1-2 years of college, focused on football. You don't hang out with the entire roster outside of those field stripes and locker room/gym walls. It's only about being a leader and being respected, not friends. It's no different than when these kids go pro and are in a locker room with a mix of people....city guys, country guys, black, white, brown, albino....who cares. Was Ken Dorsey a cultural fit? Mendoza is literally from South Florida and i'm sure most would say he's not a cultural fit either.
To me, cultural fit is more about kids who work hard vs those who don't, kids that buy in vs those who don't, and kids who are knuckleheads vs those who aren't.

I think if he gets that feedback from NFL people, he goes pro bc it's a weak class. If he doesn't, he transfers.

Business decision now.. he lived out the SEC dream of playing in it and being the QB at bama. Now it’s about getting that top dollar NIL and raising his draft stock… proven to work with ward and now Beck.
