Yeah it seems Simpson was held back by his dad to further “develop” his football ability. Basically to give him a leg up on younger guys and seem better in HS than he actually was. Used to see stuff like this all the time in the past before enrolling early began the thing to do.

I don’t see him coming back to college at 24 if he gets any kind of decent draft-able grade

Yeup, which is wild considering he already had a leg up because his father is a college football coach.

Jalen Milroe went 92nd, so that’s going to be Simpson’s floor IMO. His ceiling will be mid to late 1st but he is likely gone before pick 50. Idk if he has other considerations besides draft position though.
