Trap Game

They don't seem like they're looking past, knock on wood. The trap is that Ga Tech has a sneaky good passing offense but it's clear in the interviews they're aware.

GT is a dangerous game for a couple of reasons. It's easy to take an inferior team for granted when you are a 3 touchdown favorite (we've lost the last 3 times we were a double digit favorite to GT). We have one of our biggest games the following week at UNC which is so easy to look forward to and past what's ahead of you. We are busting out new uniforms for a night game and returning our best player after a major scare. We have our top flip project in the stands (J Smith) and are playing a team in wounded animal mode coming off an embarrassing loss at home to Bowling Green. There is no way they will play that bad again and we will get their best shot especially with them changing DC's as that has made it clear they know they can't stop a nosebleed with their run D. GT has absolutely nothing to lose and with our track record coming off a bye week there is plenty of reason to be concerned. We will not lose this game and will win it, just don't expect it to be the cakewalk many are making it out to be.

Being from the time of RINGS , we always had one trap game and it was VTECH .
Always played us tough no mat our records.

As far as this GTECH , it’s a statement game to fire on all cylinders hold nothing back let the CFB world see everything no vanilla anything just FULL LECHE !!!

This game we elevate to challenge all comers this is who we are this what we got KICK IT.

Kam's first game back, he should be focused.

We all need to keep in mind this is a different culture than last season...

Mario has curated this team and intentionally selected for a certain mental make-up to take root in the program.

With that, teams generally reflect the HC's personality; so we should be no-nonsense about our approach and be ready to put in work Saturday at 8pm.

This is a good litmus test as to where the culture of the program stands.
1. How we handle bye weeks? Crap show in recent years.
2. How we handle trap games? We haven’t been good enough lately to have a trap game. So this will be interesting.

Looking forward to seeing how they respond.

With this being Kam's first game back from injury, it means too much to him. He's a leader on this team and I think he has his guys fired up and ready to ball. We win big.

Crappy opponents coming off a Bye week have been a major problem for us over the past several corching cycles. Taking care of business tomorrow night would be a meaningful statement.

So they’re the same team as last year but we aren’t?
Didn't they just get stomped by Bowling Green? I'm not saying the team should take them lightly. But if we play this team close, we're not as good as I think we are.

I am on Canes -20.

Just don’t think they have the size or talent up front to compete. They haven’t played anyone with the type of physicality and speed we have and that includes ole miss. We need to not be reckless with the football and take the chains every time. We have an efficient offense and defense. We have a top 5 rushing attack on a YPC level and they have the worst rush defense in America. It’s not rocket science. score a few early and it will be a route. Turn the ball over, commit penalties or fall apart in the red zone and it will be closer than we want. Canes cover

You didn’t even list off any objective reasons we could lose, lmao.

I can understand why you’d feel that way if you’re, I don’t know, concerned about our pass defense, since their offense has about 3 WR’s that can take it the distance any play, and that could mean we’re in for a shootout.

But the uniforms?? Lmao

Like many posters have said, there absolutely will be a trap game. This aint it. Vegas (-21 spread is ridiculous and disrespectful) and many posters still are waiting for the "real Miami" to show their face I guess. The Miami of the past few years that would win this game by a last second FG.

Trap game comes later in the schedule
