TOS say Diaz trying to get Cager back

Whose fault is that? Also Cager ain't trash, he just isn't the best. Y'all have no middle ground. Yall think everyone is either trash or All-conference worthy.

Also, you keep saying these great things about Hurns only proves my point. He wasnt an NFL quality receiver from his first 3 years here...He was so inconsistent his first few years that he didnt even get drafted despite having a stellar Senior year because the scouts thought he was a one hit wonder. Bottomline is that people DO improve. Michael Jackson had the traits when he was trash too, so all of a sudden he improved and it has nothing to do with putting in the work? PLAYERS GET BETTER. Talking about I can't carry his pads?
Preach. Same could be said about hankerson to go along with hurts also. The funniest part is all this hate for cager and his lack of productivity in this same offensive system where this entire board says was terrible. The man is not a scrub.

Cager would ride the pine at UGA and Ped State. The pressure on Kirby Smart to win is so intense he would never tolerate all those drops. So, Cager would transfer and then not play more than a few plays (maybe a little in garbage time against weak opponents). Same thing at PSU (except he would also freeze his a@@ off riding the pine). Horrible business decision by Cager, if that's what he ultimately does.

You lose attention on the younger guys with more potential.

The odds are very clear that Cager will never be a productive receiver. He might. MIGHT. It's not worth the risk or effort at this point.

Nah. Disagree. If Cager can't improve by the opener, I don't think Diaz plays him. Also, I'm willing to pardon anyone who was catching passes from Rosier.

I see the logic behind keeping him on the team and not playing him. I don't like it. He just doesn't have the SFL dog in him that a lot if not most of the other guys do. There's no reason to keep him in the WR room other than depth, and I'd rather play younger guys.

This is the type of commentary I cannot stand.

How many people even know what high pointing a ball is? It is clear you don't as you can't high point the ball you're talking about. The pass was that poor and the reason a 5'10 corner had as much of a chance at it as he did. It was nowhere near being a pass you can high point, but dumb commentary like this catches on here and it gets repeated ad nauseum.

It's almost like saying "grab the ball at its highest point." Which typically requires the ball to be thrown high and at a significant arch. You'll notice in the picture, of THAT CATCH below, that Cager is jumping up to get the ball, which is obviously moving rapidly downward, as evidenced by the position of the nose of the football. Also note the corner is WAY below Cager, again, because the ball was thrown HIGH, almost at a POINT where Cager could catch it.

Not surprisingly to anyone, the ball was not caught by Cager with his hands AT its highest point, and was caught more with his body, as he's always been susceptible to.

So when I say I've seen him high-point the ball once, what I must have meant was "something close to high-pointing the ball, once."

Do you know what high-pointing the ball is? Because idiots speaking out their *** without paying any attention to what they're talking about gets repeated on here ad nauseum.

Good attempt at a comeback.

Your first post suggests that he was supposed to somehow high point the first ball. **** pass that played into the hands of the defender rather than Cager.

The pass he caught is typical of almost any pass anyone ever catches. Get you hands on the ball at the highest point or close to it, then bring it down to the body.

Even the best ever, IMHO, Randy Moss did much the same as him often. The thing about Moss that is often overlooked is how strong his hands were. They were like vice grips.

Perhaps I mistook what you were saying on the first pass. I took it as you saying he should've high pointed that duck. The only way it was happening on that play was if you were a little person.

Honestly why not? If he’s not good enough he won’t play. Create as much competition as you possibly can everywhere.

Needs some time with Duper. Hankerson had a terrible case of drops, Duper improved him, and Hankerson went on to be one of the statistically best WR's we had.

Dis you guys ever think that some real coaching might help this kid??

We need bodies and we need competition. Come on back Cage and redeem yourself!

Cagers drops are not as bad as hanks was earlier in his career. Some of the balls some consider “drops” by cager are 50/50 balls. Meaning it’s good coverage by the DB. He needs to improve on those. But he’s not a bad WR. 6”5 215-220. Very good short area quickness for his size. We don’t get better by losing him
