Absolutely but at this point I'm also assessing N'Kushi as straight trash independent of Rick's massive incompetence. Sooooo, that leaves us hoping that Jarren is at minimum remotely prone to being at least competent IF we magically end up with a semi-autonomous OC.

Even "miracle worker" offensive minds need something to work with at that position and we're basically down to one guy with nobody new coming in and it being too late for a new OC to find an under-recruited guy to at least fit his style as a bridge QB.

I believe the offense could go through the same transformation the defense did when Diaz got here. The right system that fits our talent and recruiting base as well as a shift in mentality away from Richts lifeless corpse and we’d jump in the offensive rankings.
 
This program needs more than an OC. It needs an infusion of excitment and talent.

Just hiring an OC isn’t the solution. There are serious structural problems with this program, recruiting, roster management, coaching hires.

This is not mainly an OC problem, the whole program is broken and has been completely mismanaged by richt.

Richt and Blake need to go. Otherwise these are just band aids.
 
**** shame he very put us behind! Let's see if he does what Brian Kelly did. make wholesale changes! I'm not mad at the defense, not sure about the recent promotions. But have we lost a shootout this year where they couldn't hold on to a lead. lolol

we all know blake is a fundraiser posing as an AD, but him going respect my decision notepad style was the most insane thing I've ever seen from him. if contracts weren't involved, you knew he would've said "im de committing mark richt from this program. respect my decision." theyre def taking away all play calling duties and offensive scheme input away from richt (which will either push him towards retirement or maybe well actually win since hes normally fine as a CEO).

need some toughness too. no matter who is coaching, its so predictable to know that we were going to blown the **** out by a big boy northern team like we always do whenever the weather drops. they kicked our *** in our house w a QB who sucks and they kicked our "elite" D in yankee stadium w no QB.

If Rick tires and offensive coordinator it's going to be from within the staff. I'm fully expecting co-offensive coordinator titles between Thomas and Dugan's. That's probably the only way he keeps either one of them on the staff while still being able to hire a striker with the 10th coaching position. Y'all enjoy the long offseason. I know for one unless a big-time name is hired as a coordinator I'm not investing much time if any at all in this team anymore until richt is gone
 
Our only hope is some pictures surface of Mork ******** a shark , then he makes up death threats towards players / staff

Agreed but one could argue that Richt’s flawed recruiting and roster management skills would be better served if our offense wasn’t costing us 3-4 games a year, maybe we wouldn’t need to have as many plan B recruits on deck. I think the roster management issue goes hand in hand with his recruiting style. I don’t think he’s made any bad hires besides his son.

My UGA buddy just spent a half hour asking me TF was that?!

He sees a Vangordner? reunion, as he's on the market and that he was the OC Rekt had in the 2 of 15 years of relevance Rekt had at UGA.

I agree w DMoney; settle in, Rekt's seat ain't even butt temp yet. He gets at least 2 more years, regardless of lack of changes or the piddlers he makes like the DC co-hires.

UGA bud warned me of the 9-3 bounce back for 19 that Rekt was famous for at UGA.

Gonna take some patience on this one.

UGA bud and I agree - F-it Hire Ed Reed and give him the freedom to hire some innovators at position coaches. We need to get out of the mid-major corporate mentality on running this program.

No. Our only hope is to get rid of the utter incompetence that Bicht is, just like with Coker, Randy and Golden.
No coordinator etc hires, those are just band aids. The cure is to get rid of the actual malady, an incompetent HC.

better athletes? Have u seen our guys in the nfl lately? Where do yall get some of this stuff like we sending hall of famers or first rounders out there. Every team shyts out nfl players, its who putting out the stud quality nfl guys. We are no longer that team so this myth needs to be buried.

Regarding Yost or someone like him: My biggest fear is that it would be completely out of character for Richt to hire someone like Yost. I expect if any change is made at Richt's sole discretion, we will see another yes man on the same old page as Richt.

My hope is that if Richt's contract doesn't give him complete control over all coaching hires (a big if IMO), a youngish innovative OC could be forced on him. That might bother Richt enough for him to step down (retire). Problem is, I don't know of anyone involved with the program who is competent enough to pick an OC.
