This is sneaky great Transfer Portal Class

Improved greatly at CB.
Improved a lot at S.
LB is a net neutral.
Less proven talent at DE.
Less proven talent at DT.

OL is a net neutral, but they'll be better.
RB is less talented.
QB is less talented.
WR has less proven talent & production.
TE is less talented.

Major step back at K.
How is Lb a Net Nuetral? With Toure & Bonner? Now you have Popo ,Pruitt a Wiley as depth players who expect to contribute but not Press to start.

Less Talented At Running Back?
Lyle was the most Talented of all the Rb/ Lofton Maybe 2nd.
Fletcher & Martinez Toss up
Marty Brown diffrent running back than Aj Allen But gives you a pass Protection & some of what you miss with Martinez Contact Balance & Tackle Breaking.

You have even seen Pringle & Hellcat yet.
From a Talent Standpoint
Add Marty Brown/ Lofton /Pringle +’HellCat > Martinez ,Aj Allen , Chris Johnson. Martinez was the only one of the Group that can Pass Block & Not get your Qb Killed. Brown & Lofton could Pringle may eventually be better that AJ Allen.

Bonner is depth. Toure is coming off ACL no. 2. And we lost Kiko to the NFL.

And you saying Fletcher and Martinez is a toss up says more than enough.

This portal class is fixing the 2021/2022 class and DB recruiting. I agree that the 26 class is critical as I believe that with a strong class Miami will not need to be as heavy in the portal in the future.

Before the portal class Miami only had 10 active SR’s on this roster.

Offensive SR’s
*OL Ryan Rodriguez class of 2021
*OL Markel Bell class of 2022
*OL Anez Cooper class of 2022
*OL Matthew McCoy class of 2022

Defensive SR’s
*DE Akheem Mesidor class of 2019
*DT Ahmad Moten class of 2022
*LB Wesley Bissainthe class of 2022
*LB Jaylin Alderman class of 2021
*LB Chase Smith class of 2021
*S Markeith Williams class of 2022

* CB Jadais Richard class of 2022, but is out for the year, so I am not counting him*

Of the 19 portal commits 15 of them are SR’s. This team desperately needed experience and leadership to support the young talent and I believe this portal class delivered on that at every position.
100% agree. We know what Manny left us so no need to beat that horse to death. But we’ve gotten almost nothing out of Mario’s 2022 class. Gotta give him a pass for that one because he had to throw that class together.

So we’re really only talking about 23, 24 and 25 and counting on the 23 guys for leadership. This big portal class for 25 was absolutely necessary.

But we need a strong 26 so we don’t need to hunt for 20 portallers next season.

Deal with Clemson when the time comes. They are more vulnerable to injury than we are so who knows what they’ll look like game 13? And both of us have high potential youth that could emerge during the season … or not. I think we’ll both be very different teams by then.

My hope/expectation is Miami will be much much better. Beck and the receivers should be firing on all cylinders. Our young WRs, TEa, DEs and DBs should be far more experienced by then. I could see another batch of freshman AAs stepping up.

Beat the Domers and one game at a time.

We were a championship contender with a real DC last year. Time will tell, but we may have one this year. We had a pretty **** good season only playing one side of the ball. Imo offense takes a step back, and defense takes a monster step forward.

So neither Toure nor Bonner improved the Lb room ? Just Neutral?
You can’t be Serious.
*Martinez went what round? Fletcher doesn’t take a backseat to Martinez especially this in Shape version of Fletcher.

Brown gives you a lot of Martinez -minus 40+ Runs. But he may give you a lot of 25 to 30 yd Runs with this O-line & have a better yds Per Carry than he had at previous School.

Lofton + Brown + Pringle adds raw Talent versatility to the Backfield .

Our offense doesnt have to be better. Just gotta stay top 10. Its our D that needs to make a HUGE jump to top 15

You keep talking about clemson. This isn’t the clemson of 5 years ago. They have talent but we can match up with them and well

I hope the people in here talking about Clemson aren’t the same ones that lecture us every week about “trap games”

We’ve got 4-5 of them in November since Mario can’t win games at the end of the season, especially on the road

Other than OL and QB every kid in the 2 deep is going to play real minutes on this team.

No I don’t keep talking about Clemson. I literally said we should worry about them further down the line.

Couldn’t have taken every player in the portal in the spring and ended up better than Clemson. They have 5-6 1st rounders coming in the 2026 draft.

Maybe we have more depth but they have as much or more top of the line old/experienced talent than anyone in the country.
5-6 first rounders???

Is Field Yates and Kiper drafting???

It’s all relative. People claiming Bain as a 1st rounder right now too when he’ll never be higher than a late day 2 guy, probably day 3.

If we have 2, Clemson has 6. If we have 1, more realistically, then Clemson having 3-4 is still the same 3x or higher ratio. They easily have 3.

So Bain isn’t a 1st rounder…and you are 100% sure saying he never will be. Jesus imma start calling you Nostradamus.

So we can’t have 3 but Clemson absolutely has has 5-6 and better be in the ship or else you’re fired as their resident super agent.

Meh, he’s a tweener that insists on staying on the edge (allegedly) where he’s not athletic enough for the NFL. Teams don’t draft ends built like that.

If Clemson has 6, we have 2. If you’re going to say Clemson doesn’t have 6 (in the same exact mock that says Miami has 2) then I guess we’ll use the same perspective on Miami’s roster and assume we cut it in half because the guy writing the mock is an idiot. Or does Clemson actually have 3 and we have 5 because we’re Miami and cause Mario bro?

Mario before Miami and Mario at Miami haven’t had 2 first rounders in 1 year ever. So I doubt it happens in his first full recruiting class here.
