This is on Richt

You can run up and down any big 5 conference school and find NFL contributors for a few years after the season.

Find me a team in the ACC Coastal with 15 NFL starters.

Good lord with the NFL stuff. So each year we have a handful of JRs and SRs who have the measurables to end up in the NFL. Fantastic. This is a different game. Give me playmakers who have the heart to win games now, not some guy who decides it's worth the effort once Da League opens up the wallet.
Eh, that argument has been made for 10+ years. Coaches take after their players. How does Diaz turn a defense that was demoralized and lost heart into the most effective and exciting unit on the field? Players take on the personality of their coach. Regardless of talent level, I don't think it's such a bad thing to ask Richt to get the most out of his unit. A team that returned a majority of its starters shouldn't under perform when the man leading them is supposed to be an upgrade from the previous coach.

Kaaya and the Oline are not good, but they're not this bad either.

I'm not shocked by the W-L record, but I'm shocked by how we're getting there. I never would have predicted that the offense would crater without significant injuries.

Am I too easy on Kaaya? Maybe. But his career is on a very familiar track. Amazing as a freshman, plateaus a bit, then regresses. If the trend holds, he will get better once he leaves here.

Our least talented unit is the OL, but they are still playing below their talent. Our sack percentage was Top 25 last year. Now we are in the 80s and dropping rapidly. Did Kaaya get less athletic? Or is something wrong with the way we're calling games?

You really need to take a hard look at Kaaya post Clemson.

Seriously the kid is shook beyond repair and has been. He was skittish playing against FAMU. Richt wins 10 a year at UGA and now he's clueless? Come on man. We lost to two teams last year by 50+.

This. Kaaya has happy feet in the pocket. Zero pocket awareness, and you don't have to even tackle the guy; you sneeze and he falls over.
The kid is really bad. He's shot mentally.

Sit him for a game or two or two and see if that lights a fire under his ***.

The kid was tackled by a finger on his toe last night.

This shlt is so fcking corny. Almost as weak at the "gimme kids who want to 'Canes" horseshlt people blabber when a top recruit decommits.

Elite programs (OSU, Bama, etc.) routinely send kids to the NFL and also win on Saturdays. Even that stupid redneck Jimbo Fisher has been able to win plenty of big college games, and FSU has sent a plethora of kids to the league over the past few seasons.

It is the responsibility of the coaches to motivate their players and have them ready to play at the College level.

Last night was a complete embarrassment. National television and the type of environment where you need a complete effort from a team.

UM was flat, unprepared, and unmotivated, and that is on Richt.

I'd say that might work if he had any fire in him to start. He doesn't.

I hate blaming a single kid for the problems offensively, and I don't think it's entirely his fault. But for someone who can make some incredibly well-placed throws, he misses TONS of open receivers (and I'm talking about routes WIDE OPEN that he can't check down to) and folds at the slightest bit of pressure.

Duke Johnson, Allen Hurns, Denzel Perryman, Ereck Flowers, Anthony Chickillo. Those guys really lacked heart and love for the game.

And your post is typical message board fan bullsht. It's always on the coach. You haven't led anything in your life, but you're pretty **** certain that your favorite team's coach should be "motivating" everyone.

If it's about coaches and not players, could you give us your detailed analysis on why the best coaches in the game sometimes lose 0 games and sometimes lose 4 games? It's all coaching, right?

we won 6 games with duke. one player cant make a team great unless its the QB. remember barry sanders?

Wow. Five guys. Phenomenal post if we're talking about tennis or basketball. Whatcha got there, one RB and one WR? And we're supposed to be competing for championships with that?

Anybody who thinks the players is most of the problem is just not being fair. Look at the same players with this new defense, crazy who our dline looks. the line is the same guys from last year, yet they look like they've regressed! I wish Richt would call better plays suited to fit our players, not what he would like to have.

It's the fact that the QB that you adore so much has zero pocket presence and holds onto the ball for 5 seconds each play before double tapping the ball and then wincing for 2 seconds before he's even breathed on.

Go watch the very first sack of the game. He can throw it towards Walton and avoid the sack. Instead he braces for impact while the defender is 5 yards away. Out of the 8 sacks last night 6 of them were easily all Kaaya. When they send 6, you can't sit there for 5 seconds. When you see a blitz and 1 on 1 everywhere you either give your guy a chance to make a play or throw it away. Kaaya does neither.

Cougar from Top Gun is manning the controls for our offense.

Yeah. Though I'm sure I'm exaggerating, there did seem to be a few plays where the kid was just waiting for someone to get close enough to him so he could just fall down.

At some point, the QB just has to trust his play-makers and give them a chance to MAKE A PLAY. And along those lines, if Richt is telling Kaaya to NOT do that ... Then the performance of the O is definitely on Richt.

The OL is what it is. Likely won't get much better this season. So, the QB and receivers have to make plays. Win their 1-on-1 battes, makes some folks miss, and score some points by taking shots at the D, instead of from the D.

If someone can tell me if Richt is telling Kaaya to absolutely not go that route, I'll throw all the blame at Richt. Until then ... I'm blaming the kid that was supposed to be the most NFL ready QB in college.

Watch it, DMoney will do anything to protect his sacred cow Kaaya. I still remember going back and forth with him his first year about Kaaya's issues and now everyone is finally seeing them. Love D's passion, but he has tunnel vision regarding this program and quite frankly, doesn't even know what he's looking at with the access he has.

I don't blame the coaches for Badgley yakking that XP. We blocked another kick, and the coverage units have been good all year. I didn't see a big problem with specials last night.

The XP was on my mind because it's repeated mistakes. We've missed XPs or chipshots three weeks in a row, and it's always a different part of the operation that's off (or several at the same time). That's just poor execution because Badgley is a talent.

We were Top 25 in sack percentage last year. Now we are among the worst in the nation and trending down. What changed? It's the same players.

I agree!! Why don't we hear the pep talk like we heard before the App State game?
Last week we held N.C. on 4 straight plays at the goal line & his reaction? Stoic as if he was
Stoned!!! Look at the D playing Aggressive to match Diaz's personality, the offense is mimicking Richt's.
I truly like Richt but he's got to light a Fire under the Offenses ***

the offense plays so passive just like richt demeanor no emotion
