This is on Richt

And we've only had like 30 players in 10 years, so it is monumental to say that we had 15 NFL starters spread out over God knows how many years. You nailed it.

15 NFL starters on the 2013 team alone. Good effort, though.

Flowers, Feliciano, Seantrel, Linder, Walford, Duke, Hurns, Dorsett, Gunter, Chickillo, Perryman, Armbrister, Howard and O'Donnell have all started games. Burns will be the 15th (he starts in nickel already).

Again, is that enough talent to win the ACC Coastal?

No it isn't.

Jagr doesn't measure talent by ability to produce at the NFL level.

It's all about heart, desire, and being a team player, bro.

All juniors and seniors at the peak of their game, right? No true freshmen on your list. We had a team that was basically about to step into the Pro Bowl.

So Jagr believes we have worse talent than VT and UNC. Just like the Golden slurpers were saying, and the Randy worshippers before them.

Yes, I absolutely do. Because you keep throwing around the word "talent" as though it's quantifiable, but it's not. I said it during and after UNC: give us Mitch Tribusky and one other skill guy and we win the game. They can have Larry Fedora and Brad Kayaa and Mark Walton. We win the game. You guys want to look back eight years because some lineman actually made an NFL roster and claim that we should have won because of that.

So we just have been so unlucky, for 15 years. We just happen to not get the RIGHT 4 and 5 star players? B/C Al Golden, Randy Shannon, Larry Coker, and Mark Richt are all Bill Belichick but the gods cursed them with bad players. Right? Get out of here with this same recycled garbage. Your hero worship of UGA's garbage is bizarre.

Shrug. Al Golden, Randy Shannon, and Larry Coker weren't cursed by anything except their own incompetence. And that goes for recruiting as well as coaching.

Here's what's funny: you admit that we have been bad for 15 years, but if Mark Richt doesn't fix it in 7 games, then he is garbage too. Hot take.

Of course he wasn't going to fix it in 7 games, he's a guy who was fired from a program for underperforming. My issue isnt that he hasnt fixed it, it's that he can't fix it bc hes not an elite coach. In what world is a guy who was fired from a p5 program, whose record against the top 25 is under .500, the type of coach to resurrect a dead program????

But we didn't recruit bad players. We recruited players that EVERYONE wants. Remember last year when fools like you declared "Chad Thomas is a diva south florida bust". Now that he gets to play in a legit defensive scheme he is beasting. Stop blaming the 18 year old kids that every major program in America was dying to have. It's the same story as the last three coaches. We hired a guy who was fired for being mediocre. What the **** do you expect????

You revised history about four times in that post. And people wonder why these discussions get absolutely nowhere.

We need more guys with heart and the will to win. Fck NFL talent. Talent is meaningless. It's all about those gritty intangibles.

Thats about sums it up.

Lmfao. Do you think we can fly the banner from the bandwagon? OBVIOUSLY it's Richt's fault Kaaya was sacked 8 times & hit or pressured 13 more.... jeezus christ

LOLOL Jagr must be new to Canes football. If I had a dollar for every time I heard the "heart and desire" comment during Coker, Randy, and ********* tenures I could pay Rickt's buyout by now.

Yes, just started in 1987. Brand new. Don't even know what our colors are.

I agree!! Why don't we hear the pep talk like we heard before the App State game?
Last week we held N.C. on 4 straight plays at the goal line & his reaction? Stoic as if he was
Stoned!!! Look at the D playing Aggressive to match Diaz's personality, the offense is mimicking Richt's.
I truly like Richt but he's got to light a Fire under the Offenses ***

the offense plays so passive just like richt demeanor no emotion

this is just the wrong way to go about it

darth belichekers up there in new england never makes a peep and he's the best the business has ever seen

Corch Richt is the D'nofrio of offense. He's a stubborn mule who insists on a particular system and refuses to simplify the game for his players who've proven unable to play well in his system.

Lets get this straight -- Kaaya clearly struggles with the RPO, and yet we continue to use the play call despite the fact the it plays to our QB's weakness.

I think it's reasonable to expect that a coach would take a look at a QB's past track record and identify what system works best for him. It's not like Kaaya is some freshman QB with no tape. He had two years of solid tape of Kaaya and yet incorporated none of it to better give Kaaya a chance when he is so clearly struggling.

This disaster of a season starts and ends with Richt. Our offense is not so outclassed against the defenses of Gtech, Fsu, VT, and UNC to be unable to score more than 21 points. Richt'Onfrio is setting our boys up to fail.

Once again we have fans that are so attached to the coach that they are viciously blaming the 18-22 year old kids who came here. I learned from the Golden era that you don't blame the players period. They arent getting paid, the majority wont play professionally, and they could have chosen to go anywhere. The coaches on the other hand are getting paid millions and aren't getting it done. You don't need a team full of NFL draft picks to beat unranked ACC opponents at home.

the coastal isn't what it was, people need to get off that horse

the ACC in a few years if not right now might be the best conference in college football

VT, UNC, duke, clemson, pitt, miami, louisville, fsu... all would shove their fat ***** right up half the SEC

all have up and coming or established coaches, this conference is poised to become a juggernaught

Yes, that team should have won the ACC Coastal multiple times, but those guys are all gone and have been gone before Richt got here.

The question is about the roster we have now. Is it good enough to win the ACC coastal this year?

I think an offense containing Kaaya, Njoku, Herndon, Coley, Richards, Walton and Yearby should by scoring more TDs than they are now. That's not debatable, we are a clusterf--k on offense. We trying to power run against teams we should spread out and attack, we are trying to spread out teams we should be trying to run over.

Honestly, we should have kept a lot of the offense from last season and worked on the big deficiency which was the RZ, where things tighten up. We haven't done that. We've overhauled everything and the results are a mess. Kaaya was better last year (when alive) and the OL was marginally better (though they did get Kaaya knocked out a few games).

Defensively, we are much better schematically and the players are responding much better to the philosophy. What we don't have is depth. We are already down to 3 Fr LBs and our leading tackler was carted off the field last night. I don't think we can expect this unit to hold up to those circumstances yet.

On balance, this is a team that shouldn't be 4-3, 6-1 is probably where we should be sitting and still in contention for the ACC Coastal. I don't know if we win it this season given how banged up we've gotten, but what CMR has installed has taken us a step back.

you people don't deserve richt, you really don't

UGA would take him back in a heartbeat, go ask them.. he was ***ing trending on twitter after their loss at home to vandy for petes sake.

How many times was the RPO even ran vs va tech? About what percentage of the time?

You wanted to get out of the I formation and the man has done it in a mere 2 weeks.. we're in the shotgun, spread the *** out sending WRs vertical

The adjustments are before your very eyes, but it's richts fault

dis fan base..
