The Banner is a stupid idea and other thoughts

It really ****es me off that this site will support anything pro-Golden.

As soon as something anti-Golden comes up, it's locked and or deleted.

Literally the only things that have been deleted are banner threads. Everything else has stayed. **** near every thread is anti-Golden. ****, Lucane has been posting his heavy concerns of Golden and staff for a while now.

The **** athletic department hasn't even given us press passes

Why delete them? What CiS rules were broken?

Myself, I will remain optimistic that Miami rolls FAMU, rolls Arky State, and maybe makes a game out of it in Lincoln. I have to believe there is no way Golden and/or Coley could possibly even consider an offensive game plan that is in anywhere near the same universe as the one vs UL.

I bet you believe Golden and Ono won't have our DB's sit back 15 yards from the LOS again. Or have McCord or some other pass rusher covering a slot receiver again.

I'll be ecstatic if the D gives up less than 350 total yards (3.0 rushing), and has 4 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, 6 TFL vs Nebraska. I don't care what scheme they use, with what personnel where. Coley is where the dumpster fire is burning brightest in 2014.

The optics from the Nebraska game itself, again a night national prime time game, will be the death knell itself. Nothing else is needed.

That is going to be a huge beatdown. I expect Abdullah to hit 160 or more and Gregory will get 3 sacks.

You said they'd no way golden will get fired early in the season. Why can USC fire *****in a couple games into his third season, but we can't fire Golden a couple games into his 4th season? Please explain it and don't just tell me it had nothing to do with it.

As for recruits, we're in the best recruiting area in the world. Any competent coach can succeed down here. I'm not worried about the effect a banner or open fan unrest will have on recruiting. I am, however, concerned with the effect getting blown out every time we face a team with a pulse and playing pussified garbage football will have on recruiting.

Can't see how we beat Nebraska. Unless something dramatic happens, Golden is in serious trouble. The fact he didn't do the radio show tonight tells you all you need to know.

He was handed a weak UL team on a platter and he not only lost he embarrassed himself the program and the university. And for being a know it all that thought he had everything figured out, he deserves everything coming to him.

Golden knows he's in trouble. Watch his body language at the UL post game presser. This was the guy that was so excited before the game that couldn't look reporters in the eye afterword

Golden isn't getting fired one game into the season, so yes I think it will compound issues and make recruiting more difficult.

How many games did it take Pat Haden to fire Lame *****in last year? I'll take that.

All I hear on the recruiting board is "win and we'll get all the guys we want." It should be painfully obvious after that UL game that were not going to win big this year. It'll take a minor miracle at this point to win the lousy Coastal. Losing and playing pu$$y ball is going to be the undoing of this recruiting machine.

On top of all that, I, for one, don't give a fck about accumulating talent if we're just going to waste it on game day anyway. Al has proven he has no idea what to do with the talent he's bringing in. He's getting humiliated by guys from South Florida he didn't even want. Maybe the next coach will get saddled with some guys like Gaines, Burgess, Rogers, etc. and kick some ***.

Try three seasons and 1 game. Besides the talent on the roster, what aspect of this team or any part of their performance has improved or changed significantly during Golden's tenure?

Don't waste your time. He just wants to roll FAMU and keep it close against Nebraska.

Those of you saying lets give him the rest of the season, I get it this ADMIN won't fire mid year, and thinking it will turn around are just clueless. Even if he does win a few more games this regime will not get us to our end goal of playing for NC's again. I can't believe you don't see that. It's as clear as the sun rising every **** day. You were sold a dream and what it has turned out to be is Golden's ******* fantasy playing big boy ball. He doesn't know how to fix what is broken. This staff talks a good game pre and post game, but when have you actually seen a Cane team under them play with aggression all game? You haven't because they don't know how to coach that. They continue to play safe (mistake free football) and hope they make the fewest mistakes by the end of the game to win. How has that worked out so far... this is beyond absurd that anyone would still think he is the right guy.

I agree, I think the banner is played out and it's way too soon. The rumblings are the loudest they have ever been under the Golden era. We still have the Coastal to play for and if Kaaya gets comfortable and the O-line blocks for him, then we have a chance to be a decent team. Even with all the rumblings, I'm not sure UM is in a financial situation to fire Golden. I do believe we would be paying him longer than we ended up paying Coker.
Now with the momentum as far as the facilities, sales of season tickets, contributions up and alumni donations up, then Golden may be coaching on borrowed time. As ****ed off as I was Monday night and all day yesterday, I've taken the deep breaths and have calmed down enough to be cautiously optimistic and see how this plays out. Nice post D Money.

What have you seen from this staff in the last 3 years that makes you think they will have this team playing better as the season progresses? This whole staff is ****, plain and simple, we will never be successful with these bozos in charge
