You may not be fluent in D$. Let me offer some assistance...

"Continue to get confidence" = we still lead, but other schools (like Texas) are not going away and pushing.

"Less confidence... will push to the end" = he almost certainly isn't coming, but we'll keep desperately trying to a hail Mary flip.

"Nobody knows... up in the air" = feels like nother local top WR we lose, but he’s playing games so we can't be sure.

"Continuing his process... very professional" = there won't be a commit soon. Kid is going to up the bidding war and then go to the biggest bag. Might be us.

"Good chance to flip" = not the forgone conclusion people have been expecting, but I still think he ends up in this class.

"Still communicating" = he's listening to offers, but he ain't coming.

"Trending away" = he gone.

"In the mix... up in the air... decided over the next few days" = offers and counters are still going out. We upped our initial offer after missing on some DL. Waiting to see how others respond.
LOL, D$ wont be showing you the secret handshake now.

Not a bad update at all. We need Cooper, knew Keys was a long shot and unlikely, lots of other unreadable guys still out there, great to hear positive reviews on our QB.
Agreed. Cooper needs to be a Cane, full stop. We lose that battle and there's nice way to spin that. Jennings seems like we are trending positively for the flip there. Win during the season and your pitch becomes more attractive to guys that are playing wait and see.

Tbh at this point just filling some of the major needs left is all I care about, not the class ranking. Get me Cooper, Kolojay, and find me another DT, WR, and a decent safety. Needing the latter spots next year in the portal won't be too much compared to years past where we needed 10-15 spots filled.
I’m with you

Honestly the two main things I’m concerned about right now:

1. QB1 and how we replace Cam/X leadership

2. The class of 2024 on the field. Class of 2023 has been a flop. No way around it.

If the staff doesn’t show it can hit on the right players then who gives a **** about rankings?

Win football games and don’t **** down your leg at the end of the season, and they will come.

4th time’s the charm

I see you added the qualifier to your post. How often is the goal post going to move for "winning"? We won 10 games last year with a historic offense and the rallying cry was "hey, get back to winning 10+ games and we'll be fine". Now it's how we win 10+ games that's relevant? I'm not disagreeing with you but solely winning 10+ ain't gonna cut it, it seems.

Dmoney, I know the answer to this but how much is not being in the SEC and BIG hurting our recruiting efforts?

I’m not trying to make excuses for the recruiting, our class is solid right now but with the money we have involved in recruiting I feel like this is a major issue.
Seems everyone who covers the program just refuses to admit this, and it makes no sense to me. Lake and Gaby have downplayed it in the past. D said he thinks it’s an advantage because it’s an easier path to the playoffs on a pod this week. I don’t get it. High end kids consistently show that they want to go to the SEC or the B1G, while nobody is beating down the door to get to play in the ACC. It’s disingenuous to act like it doesn’t matter.

Literally just this past week James Johnson after making his commitment to UGA said " I'm an SEC kind of guy". People can down play the conference thing but make no mistake about it, SEC and B1G schools are absolutely negative recruiting us with it and it is working to a degree. We need to get out of the conference if we are going to legitimately compete for top 5 classes.

Last bit is the most important part. Time to get the program over the hump. No excuses

Needs to be addressed. We seem to be killing it in the money game but something isn’t adding up 100%. When kids seem to get to the SEC and B1G schools our momentum seems to be lost with said recruits. Just a weird situation.

@DMoney wassup with the safety class? Do you think Will Harris flirtation with NFL jobs is hurting us there?

Disclaimer: Before people start going cracy, I think it is pretty well known that he wants to get back into the NFL

Sooo... off of that, looks like we should be thrilled if we can nail down: Cooper, Stewart, Kolojay, Jennings, Perry-Wright

Make a strong Playoff Run and hope to flip a few more before NSD... Lets get it done.....
