how dumb is tyler byrd?

who at that time (2 years ago nearly) would choose to pass up a chance at playing corner at miami when the depth chart was as bad as it was/is

Marshall is a gamer. They'd be a real threat with Mills.

We just gotta take advantage on our opportunities on offense. Tennessee can't convert a 3rd down on offense and can't stop a 3rd down on defense. Those are the 2 biggest no no's against GT.

I still say we win by 3 TDs. Probably a close/hard fought game until the middle of the 4th and we'll get a couple scores late to close it out

Yeah, that was a tough one to swallow on NSD. Who knows what he would be now had he decided to stay. Looks like a true Vol though at the time being, Impressive till you actually see him play.

No matter how GT looks, it would be hard for me to be scared of them. Coach Richt is 14-2 against GT, and even Golden was 3-1 against them.
GTech is simple to beat, as long as you play assignment Football & get early stops on 1st & 2nd down to keep them at 3rd long.

Their QB was even better last year & could actually throw the Football & we still scored 2 Defensive TD's and forced turnovers on them.

They only become difficult to beat when you play into their hand & let them get a lead.

But since we gave up some meaningless yards to Bethune our fans will forever be shook & nervous about every team we play this year lol.

It's pretty damning that they had all of fall camp to prepare for the option too.

I know i am a minority, but I actually like watching GT's Offense. I wouldn't want Miami to run it at all but I find it fun to watch.

Same here.
It is an offense that forces opposing to play fundamentally sound football....DBs have to get off blocks and front seven needs to stay on their feet and use their hands....but like you said, I wouldn't want our boys to run it.
