Strong to USF

strong made his reputation off of the L-ville class he build when shannon got fired. I think Texas was a horrible fit for him. he will take time to recover from that reptuation wise but he can do well at USF.

We are not fighting Butch for any recruit ever as long as he is at FIU.

It's not good or bad for Miami. It affects us in no way. You really think any athlete regardless of talent will choose USF over Miami as well as FSU/UF for that matter? If so, you have mental issues. Charlie Strong lost a bit of his luster when he showed his a$$ at Texas. A school with more resources than any other school as well as in the largest state with D-1 talent, and he finished with a 5-7 record in year 3 at Texas while losing to a 2-9 Kansas team. He has to rebuild his brand back up as he doesn't have the same cache from when he walked into Austin 3 years ago.

Honestly its good that he's at USF. Just like it's be good if Scott got the FAU job.
Better than letting him be the DC somewhere like FSU/UF.
Thats actually the best part...that hes not going to one of those big schools that steals our recruits.
 
As much talent as Strong recruited he didn't get a chance to actually develop any of it. He put the nail in his own coffin by purging the team.

His teams are far too weak in the trenches. Too much youth getting playing time.

He should have NEVER did that dumb *** purge. Didn't he learn from Randy Edsalls mistake?

Hermans going to take all that talent and fuq shid up in the big 12.

If true, Strong will only be a threat to OOS schools who recruit undersized, productive players that the BIG 3 have passed on. Without the exception of Bridgewater, that's what Strong signed while he was at Louisville. And without a Bridgewater type of recruit, I don't see Strong replicating what he did at Louisville. He will field a "competitive" team. I don't see him doing more than that. And whoever said he's an idiot for not sitting out and enjoying TEXA$' money is right. For the time you were hired, they were trying to show you the door and contacting coaches while you were still sitting on the throne. I go into broadcasting til every dollar was collected.
 
Strong won't give up anything to coach this year. The only report I have seen on his buyout offset says it reduces his buyout by 50% of his new salary. He may want to sit out a year to weigh his options because he has the luxury of doing that. But, it won't hurt him to jump back in right away.

Our plan b&c kids that we go after late (left at altar situations) may be a tougher pull bc of the relationship Strong could build.
 
He couldn't find a QB w/ a teddy crank in Texas....yall should be worried that hes back in FL
