Stat of the season

Which is magnified to the extreme by our sloth paced offense limiting possessions
Wonder where we rank in pace in nation. The gameplan of run up middle and ball control for ACC games with no explosive plays seems to be recipe for disaster. Who greenlit this play in a box gameplan?

Two reasons:
1. Lash ran an actual spread with quick reads and throws.
2. We had someone with SPEED out wide who could take the top off a D and win 50/50 balls.
Lash definitely had a better system that highlighted TVDs strength but who were our Speed Wrs?

Sad man.

As much as I want to give out a lot of blame to Mario and Dawson.

The lion share of the offensive struggles imo has got to go to TVD.

Dude in year 3 is literally playing pitch and catch with the defense.
I’ve shifted the blame to Mario for continuing to trot him out there but TVDs play has been as bad as I’ve seen here that’s for sure

I’m not saying Emory will come in and light it up, but I think TVD is done as the QB here this year and at this you’re kicking him while he’s down as a coach

Miami is now 126th in the nation in turnovers. Terrible for any team, poison for a team that is trying to run the ball and play complementary football.

And this is not to blame one player- it is a team stat that falls on the players and coaches.
Ron Burgundy What GIF

Not blaming one player?

Remind me of our fumbles: George on the punt return vs TAMU, Chaney vs GT and Parrish vs UNC. Was there a fumble by Fletcher as well? Temple maybe?

So let’s say it’s 5.

The other 100 turnovers are on TVD!!!! Call it for what it is. Fumbles and terrible interceptions.

So basically these coaches don’t think Emory or JB can protect the ball enough to not throw 11 interceptions?

Then they are stealing money and should be fired immediately.
Think they want to give TVD a chance as much as possible because when Mario was hired he said TVD was best qb in nation and immediately he destroys his career, which continues the narrative that Mario is a QB killer/hard to work with/meddles in offense.. When things get bad Mario has no answers but to griiiiind, growl and work harder.

True... but Tyler is a turnover machine right now... not saying full Jeff Sims but definitely Jeff Sims adjacent.

Yeah and he took a back seat that year to Rambo who wasnt that fast. My point is that at this point, we have had 3 years of TVD starting, he is what he is at this point.
Agree but the roster mismanagement has us with no where the coaches want to turn.

Come on man. Rambo is faster than all three of our starters. Smith was also faster than our 3 starters.

Longs of 44,39,33,60,34,60,36,42,28,33 - not even going to dig into other long catches.

We also haven't completed a pass over 25 yds & only 2 passes over 20 yds in the last 3 games.

When you have a ball control, no quick strike Offense - turnovers hurt even more.

Turnovers and penalties are a direct representation of coaching.

I wonder if that still holds true, you know since it's Mario and he gets a lot of passes.

All the other coaches got blamed for this in the past.

What were we ranked last year in these stats?

Rambo was a solid 50/50 pass catcher and he wasn’t all that fast. That said, we are digressing here.

Can we really blame Dawson and Mario for the turnovers. Some of these picks are horrid plays by TVD. And a goal line fumble by Parrish. Chaney fumble is on mario
