No. We stopped recruiting him and moved on.is it obvious? He looked like a great athlete to me. More concerned he bailed on us.

We sure had a lot of decommits. Amazing how many kids we ‘moved on’ from.No. We stopped recruiting him and moved on.
Girth>length at least that's why I've been told.Length > speed
The fastest linebacker in the nation isn't anywhere near 4.3.LOL List all the 4.3 LBs and 4.4 LBs we had
Very underrated postI was just looking at some numbers and found them interesting. Dudes keep talking bout campbell being so fast. He ran a 4.47 which is good speed but his shuttle was a 4.51. Ivey shuttle was a 4.2. Blades shuttle was a 4.34. Patrick joyner had a faster shuttle than cambell with a 4.43.
It tells me campbell is good straight line but isnt as quick moving laterally. Guys like ivey and blades may not have the long speed a campbell does but they are much quicker.
For the most part, the reports list a kid who runs a 4.49 as a ‘4.4’ kid.The fastest linebacker in the nation isn't anywhere near 4.3.
And Al (Froggy) Shipman would hold his own/ or beat all of them in a 40....
I remember that....As Keith Jackson put it...”he may be the fastest of the fast.”
Go Canes!
Where is all the 4.3s and 4.4s? **** where the 4.5s?For the most part, the reports list a kid who runs a 4.49 as a ‘4.4’ kid.
Willie Williams ran in the 4.4s. DJ did, iirc. Darrin Smith and Jessie Armstead clocked sub-4.5s in their time.
Then they go to the combine and that 4.49 becomes a 4.64.For the most part, the reports list a kid who runs a 4.49 as a ‘4.4’ kid.

I think straight line speed and 40 times are over valued. Give me a guy that can flat cover folks. Period.
Speed at corner is overrated. If you can run a 4.6 and blanket a receiver you don't need that little bit more of breakaway speed. 4.4 corners are good for tracking down a busted play. Other than that....?
Copy that, thanks for info. Nice that he is getting bigger. He is an electric playerI think he can play there... I can def see why we want him at corner, but I think Holmes can play RB. Looks like he put on weight between sophisticating and junior. Hopefully more this year.
