It's almost like some of our fans don't watch football. I don't get why anyone would think that Miami would be darkening the skies with footballs, once it became obvious that UF was playing a very risk averse defensive scheme, designed to limit possessions and eliminate the possibility of a blowout. The ONLY way to overcome that strategy is to 1) Have your QB be efficient on checkdowns and the intermediate passing game and 2)Run the ball down their throats and 3) Avoid turnovers. The plays where there in the intermediate passing game, Miami wasn't sharp. We can argue whether Carson was having issues with the wet football all day, but it's obvious from his misses that he was having a problem. Most QBs have a particular miss, Carson was missing every which way possible. That's not like him, that wasn't like him in earlier games, and the major difference was the weather was significantly worse in this one than in previous games.
If Miami was locked in mentally and played efficient football(Which we didn't, at least not for the entire game), this game likely ends in a 35-7 score and we aren't having this conversation. I get it, some of our "Fans" are desperate to complain, because well, they aren't happy unless they can whine, but come the F on. Nitpicking at by far the best OC Miami has had since Jedd Fisch(and you can make the argument that Dawson is better than Jedd) is weird and cringe as F.
