Rumours about Chip Kelly to UF

Dumb ******* Gators.

They let Kelly’s agent use them like a wet dishrag to bid up Kelly’s contract with the Bruins.

In before the “Gruden to UF” threads on the **** message boards.

We reported yesterday on the boards that we were beginning to feel extremely confident that Chip Kelly would be the guy based on info we were hearing and that the two sides were pretty much on the same page when it came to everything he'd need to make the program successful.
The one thing potentially holding things up appeared to be making sure Kelly doesn't void his buyout money from the NFL based on the wording of his contracts. That's taken time to sift through, but everything should be good to go there.
At this point, we have a handful of sources indicating that Florida and Kelly or his reps are meeting this afternoon. We believe that meeting is to get Kelly to sign off on the agreement, making this thing official.

There's absolutely no way that Kelly gets the rest of that money from the 49ers if he signs a deal with anyone. NFL teams make sure coaches don't double dip ever.

Then Kelly has a ****** agent. Why not wait a bit and let all the jobs about to open drive up the price

I don't know if the search feature goes back that far, but I broke the Al Golden firing here on that Sunday morning.
