This feels like Trayon Gray all over again
Berry ran a 5.0 40 weighing maybe 200lbs. Burns is a MUCH better RB prospect if he can stay healthy.
Let's not forget about our OLine
When healthy he was an absolute beast.Berry showed up. Nobody expected him to. If burns stays healthy he's going to be an excellent back. People sleep on him due to injuries. They forget he was coveted. Time could be now young champion.
His HS tape(all 34 seconds of it) showed that he can indeed cut. Burns is a one cut and go type back that is more athletic than most give him credit for. 4.4 speed at 230lbs is freakish. Unfortunately for Burns his career has been derailed by injuries up to this point. If that streak of injuries was just bad luck and Burns is not made of glass then he will have the opportunity to develop and show what he can do. I would like nothing more for Burns to stay healthy and prove people wrong. I'll be pulling for the kid.4.4 is straight line though....can he wiggle and cutt at that size is the issue.
It happens a lot these days.Just going by the season beginning depth chart back then in comparison to now. I'm incredibly sorry to stir the pot and get you in argument mode.
Burns is our biggest back. He brings a different dimension to the game. Kid is running 4.5 forty at 230 lbs. Forget about the depth chart. If healthy, he's going to have an important role in short yardage and goal line. If he shows out when called on (ie, turning short yardage plays into big runs), he'll get more carries.Berry was arguably the the 1st string running back and Burns is riding 3rd and then 4th when Lingard comes back but ya who knows.
If he gets into a game you'll probably see that happen on the field. No need for an injury report.And... the jinx is on.
Can't wait to see the injury report tomorrow where it says Burns's leg detached from his body.

I wasn't joking. Berry ran a 5.0 40 at pro day.Maybe not a 5.0, but you’re right. As much as we all loved Berry, his lack of real speed kept him from being elite.
For sure, loved watching that group and it could have been special with miller, berry, cooper if they all could have been more healthyBerry ran with reckless abandon, loved his style. Of Burns can turn into that great for us.
