Rhett to South Carolina?

Like liberty if Freeze leaves??
I saw something about Lashlee for Southern Miss job which I think is 100 times more likely than USCe. Apparently he was considered a few years back when he was Auburn OC.

"A handful of names have emerged, including but not limited to South Carolina defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson, Tulane offensive coordinator Will Hall, Indiana defensive coordinator Kane Wommack, Baylor defensive coordinator Ron Roberts and Miami offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee, though Lashlee is helping lead Miami’s resurgence into the top 10 of the national polls and is expected to have myriad options, should he decide he wants to take the next step in his coaching career."

King could have made Richt or Penos look like Lane Kiffin.

I have no idea why people are so enamored with Lashlee as the next greatest thing. Some drives are quite good and other drives play-calling is the worst ive literally ever seen. Any uptick on offense this year is 95% due to King and he can't get enough credit.

Wow.

Except Lashlee has had plenty of success at other places without King. And Houston looked like dog crap with King last year so there’s that.

Oh yeah, that will be an impossible obstacle to overcome.
jerry Falwell money is just as long as anyone at SC..he won't leave liberty because of money.if he did leave it will be to prove he can coach at a higher level. but they loving him up here in Lynchburg. and money is not an issue

Didn't king get hurt last year and set out ???if so then it must of been his ghost at QB for Houston last year that looked like so-called dog crap you say

Idk if the SEC allows for Freeze to come back. They did block him from taking an OC job before he went to liberty. I would still think it takes him another year or two before he gets let back in.

Napier and Tony Elliot would be great hires for them. Will be interesting to see if they try and poach the HC from Coastal, but that might be too much of a step up for him.

Nope. After four games he was asked to take a redshirt because the team was bombing and Dana Holgerson wanted one more season of King. Pay attention.

Little chance Lashlee ends up as USC HC. I like him as our OC and would hate to see him leave, but if/when this happens, there are many coaches who run varying types of spread offenses, so it is almost plug and play.

I just listened to a podcast this morning talking about Fickell (pod was about the Michigan job) and appareantly fickell has made comments comparing his situation at cinci to Gary Patterson at TCU. I think he is happy there and likes recruiting that area. Not sure a low/mid tier SEC job would be attractive enough. The podcast guys said he wouldn’t take Michigan, so I don’t see USCe.

Napier makes a lot of sense.
I think Fickle is not for Michigan b/c Fickle is a true OSU & Ohio guy. He would probably take every job in America, except Go Blue.

Im sorry but the SEC schools have more brains to hire an OC that has never run a program as a HC. The worry of losing Lashlee is more realistic for a better paying SEC OC job or HC at Cinci or somewhere like that where that coach moves into a Power 5 like Fickell.
