Prediction

Again just saying that what DMoney stated is based off of expectations within the University, perhaps he is protecting his source by not stating which RB it is, all I am going to confirm is that what he is predicting has validity.

didn't they expect Bostwick?

The last two weeks or so had em quite worried from what I understood.
right but Bostwick had been a Gator for a long time Miami just didnt know it . People are looking at the Sony and Cook situations wrong. It is going to come down to relationships with the staffs not wins or loses etc

I think we lost Sony because of Hurlie Brown. Not because hurlie is new or a bad coach but maybe Sony just wants to see how our RB's do this year. If his choice was based on the Rb coach at either school he clearly made the right choice. But if Duke win ACCPOTY or something crazy like that under Hurlie maybe Sony reconsiders.

lmao. We missed on both. If they wanted to be at Miami they wouldnt be committed elsewhere.
Its April. :ohlord:

I swear some fans are just stupid as **** because they somehow have forgotten how many recruits decommit at every school!!!!! Including UM but if they wanted back in I guarantee they would be celebrating

Dude just accept reality. We arent getting either. Move on
So Sony is different from the hundred or something recruits who decommit per year justbecause he's Sony?

Dude I want him to, badly. Sony has been recruited to Miami longer than ANYONE in school history. He has seen everything we had to offer multiple times. He went to Georgia and said he knew it was the place for him. He hasnt been back since. He clearly sees something at Georgia that makes him favor the Dawgs to Miami. People say 10 months but what are we going to show him this year that he hasnt seen since birth? My only hope is that he wasnt fully sold on Brown as his coach and wants to see him in action. Only way I see Dmoneys "prediction" coming to fruition.

I agree with you, but its recruiting it just happens nobody can explain it and if im a liar look back this time last year and see alll of the players throughout the nation who decommitted and then you know it's never over till NSD unless it becomes obvious. Plus would you want to know that the staff gave up on Sony? And if so then give up on everybody who doesnt choose us to begin with.

Recruiting is fluid. At this time last year (may be off a month or two) Collins, Bryant, Whitfield, Kearse were all committed. Thomas and Kirkland were thought to be near locks. We hadn't even heard of guys like Figueroa, Odogwu, Elder, Griffin being connected to Miami.

Talking with absolutes like Cook and Sony are gone, it's time to move on is stupid.

When Georgia shyts the bed this year as usual and Richts *** is on the hotseat again while Miami is blowing up we'll see how sold Sony is...

That's "IF" he even chooses Georgia today.

They were one play away from playing for the NT and beating ND as bad as Bama did. You guys are relying on some dumb stuff.

Dumb stuff like the expectation that UGA will revert back to the mean? Didn't y'all lose a lot on D?

You mean talking with absolutes that arent what you want to hear. I doubt you negged the OP for him doing the same. Smh

Sony was 6 or 7 years old last time canes were worth a ****. Y'all are living off our past tradition and history, he is not.

IMO Sony, cant be faulted for making a sound decision to go to a UGA team that was in SEC champ game last year, also has
a history of producing great backs, plays in front of 80 k every home game and in SEC.
Unfortunately in Realville, we havent produced a 1st rounder in don't know how long, gets 30 k
for home games in a BS stadium 45 minutes to an hour from Coral Gables. Not to mention the facilities which while
improved are still **** compared to uga and every other SeC school.

And he wasn't even a load in his dad's sack the last time Georgia won anything. What's your point?

So what you're saying is that my "rhetoric" doesn't make sense based on your 100% unsupported speculation that Sony is being paid? That's an impressive argument. I wonder if you would have made it when Coker and Shannon were coaches and missed on bigtime local kids.

I know Golden is putting in all the work possible here, and I do think it's possible we'll flip him back, but without question -- unless we see pictures of Sony and Cook bathing in booster money -- this should be considered another big local recruiting fail.

Sony is a pretty professional dude. Not sure he he renegs on this committment. This is a massive, massive fail on our end. I know we've tried our hardest, but results matter.

If he picks UGA and sticks with UGA, then it's not a fail on our end; it's a fail of the system. There is no possible way we lost that dude, who supposedly grew up loving UM, has a HC who starred at UM, and is local, to some school that is not a major power and does not recruit this area without some shenanigans.

You dudes crack me up with this "results matter" rhetoric. If the playing field is even, then, yes, it's a "results matter" type of deal. When it's not, then it's not. Tie a couple cinder blocks to Michael Phelps's legs and see if he can win a 400m freestyle.

You're right. UGA is a major player in S. FL recruiting, and Al Golden is a terrible recruiter. Makes sense they'd be able to swoop in and "out-recruit" him for a guy that he wanted badly in his back yard who was supposedly a Canes fan all his life. Also makes sense that he felt the need to make his announcement so early. You're right. The whole thing makes perfect sense, and you're a genius and not naive at all.

Don't start being an in-your-face gaytor **** on here. Don't get too comfortable.

Franchise going HAM tonight. His trog-annihilation almost makes the Sony 'Benedict' Michel fiasco worth it.

He's a cane in the end if we get 9 wins. Mark it down.

Only way to enjoy a ride is if you think you make it out alive. Not sure that is the case here.

Get off the ledge mang. You've been around long enough to know that one miss, esp one we saw coming, doesn't mean isht in the long run.

Did I want him? Of course. Matter of fact, I thought we had him. But we have mojo right now for the first time in years.

We are fine. It's April. The class as of today is above average, and hits positions of need.

If guys like you, map, start mailing it in, im not gonna know what to do. **** is fine. Pull your head outta your *** and tell me you agree.

Wow guys calm the **** down. You're letting a couple knuckleheads & a few trolls get everyone in a tizzy! In the end we'll get ours, we always do.

Some of you guys really need to read between the lines. D$'s posts couldn't be anymore clear.

Gat dammit we need to win some ****ing games.

****ing players ditching out of Miami to go play for the SEC.

dammit mane...!

It's not that, I thnk it's the money. My friends and I, who have followed this stuff for years, have long regarded the southern schools, the SEC and few in the ACC, as the cheating schools. I presume that it's usually money when they take a kid out of his environment and away from the school that they grew up loving.

Where's that guy Conch, who used to post garbage on Grassy. He once let it out that he was one of the top recruits in south Florida back in the early '90's, I believe, a top-rated DB who spurned us for Auburn. The filth is all over the south, yet we get burned for relatively minor infractions.

Years ago, when we lost Eric Metcalf to Texas at the last minute under strange circumstances, our then-Athletic Director, Sam Jankovich, was fuming. He angrily called for the IRS to start doing audits on the families of these kids, to find the unreported income that these people were bringing in. I agree with him, but the federal government, like the NCAA, is bureaucratic, inept, biased, and generally operates at a low level of effectiveness.

@Ridler--we could twenty-five games in a 12 game season and go undefeated once over, and win two national championships at once, and we'd still have trouble with the SEC crooks coming into south Florida with their low academic standards and money.

1. When will we find when his brother will be enrolled at GA?

2. When do they both report to Georgia for their camp?

3. Anyone heard that Notre Dame offered both but his brother did not academically qualify?

4. Anyone have any info that Golden and staff would not go along with the Notre Dame and GA two for one deal?

5. Anyone have info that Cook will now make the switch to play with his teammates now that Sony is out of the picture?

5. Anyone know how much that street agent/fitness guru got paid under the table for his services?

6. How many of you will take the trade of Sony for Cook, especially considering the potential for wear and tear of Sony versus the high ceiling potential of Cook?

Inquiring minds want to know

Just so we're clear, Bigconch was in no way, shape, or form a bigtime DB from the 90's that spurned UM for Auburn.

I'm down with this prediction.

Lots of time before NSD.

Would love to have Sony or Cook. Who knows who'll be better of those two, they're both elite talents, but I'll take Cook over Sony in terms of ceiling.

Regardless, I won't be sweating our RB situation so long as we hold on to Yearby.

Now let's get some defensive pickups.
