Have you not seen the state of our basketball and baseball programs? To be fair I don’t think he had much choice with DiMare but unfortunately that’s still part of his job. He needs to go.

We’ve seen negative comments about the state of the program from other former players recently. Ed Reed is on the staff. If it’s not already been discussed, maybe come together as a group and demand change.

Also, I’ve seen it mentioned there are 100 BOT members. How in the **** can a consensus be reached with that many fingers in the pie? Impossible.

So a repeat of 2006..2011..2015..what makes y’all think a establishment elite coach wants this job? What about it is appealing Rn? Money? no. Fan base? No. Local support? No. The time to get Mario was 2015..we could’ve probably gotten Schiano back when also..there’s no realistic quick turn around HC

Teams generally never bench a center. 55 probably won’t start this week. But that mean 51 will likely be back at RT. 70 likely slides inside at RG..but from the outside looking in, I’d plug 62 at RT coach up 55 and have that RG position open for comp this week and next

Its just that Manny doesn't have it.... should have let him cut his teeth at a G5 school first and learn that way. He just doesn't know how to do it and/or just can't apply it to translate into wins and positive momentum going forward within the program.

Manny wants to win and he wants to succeed. To think otherwise is crazy. I also wanted to succeed in my field (**** stud) and I just didn’t have the skillset to do it (I’m 5’2” 297 lbs, have a member the size of a mosquito bite, and can only holdout for a stroke or two on a good day).

Not bad because they ended up with Butch..I like Mario. He’s a relentless recruiter. He’s also underachieved some with the talent at Oregon with absolutely bad losses..but I would’ve taken him Over Golden and then again 2015. CIS has told that he’s a “corch tho” let’s seen if he can get it done this year

This is what poor leadership does to people. It gives you this poor mind set. So your argument is to keep Manny Díaz because you, as a fan, don’t think anyone worth a **** would come? That’ll solve our problems.

You realize that if you're right, in today's world of real-time transfers you could literally see half of the team transferring out. Then when the next coach arrives and finds himself with barely enough bodies to field a team - a repeat of 1997 - you're going to have to give him at least three years just to hopefully rebuild to get back to where we are now. The same three years that no one is willing to give Diaz or any other coach that has walked through the door.

So get rid of the next coach after three years, and then repeat the process of transfers and rebuilds.

Serious question. Without throwing the kitchen sink at a HC - which apparently the U won’t do - in your opinion, who would take the job?

If what Cribby says is accurate, it would be all hands on deck on the Mario train and the salary would at least partly come from outside the athletics department.

No. This is not me speaking as a fan. As a fan I’d say clear the deck and bring in Urban..but thinking logically if you came into year 3 in wait and see mode based on how he does this szn goes a win and 1-1 start isn’t swaying the pendulum so far to the we have to fire this guy RN. It’s foolish. As a previous poster stated we have been ****** toilet water for the better part of 18 year..there is no coach on earth breathing oxygen who would come in here day 1 and reach the expectations this fan base has for them..whoever comes in it’s a rebuild…and just like y’all did with MR y’all would question the hiring after every L

Diaz is not my boy lol. But I hope he succeeds as the coach for my team. I have nothing against Mario..it’s just funny the hype he’s getting on CIS now
