OT: "unsurvivable" storm surge projected to hit Lake Charles, La.

What a dumb thing to say. And so indicative of your lack of science chops.

Even the most fervent acolytes of this climate change theory have zero actual scientific proof that anything man has done has caused hurricanes to “get worse”, in fact any changes may be attributed to “natural variability”

Those are climate scientist’s words. Not mine.

You don’t believe in religious faith, yet you believe in the magical climate change religion.
the way to combat sea level rise is to place more sponges into the sea, that technique has been proven and is endorsed by the AAS, the American Association of Scientists.

Every River in Florida...
Santa Fe
Chipola
Suwannee
Appalachicola
Wasissa
Steinhatchee..etc...weren't around 12,000yrs ago...they all were formed once the Icebergs started melting in the Northern Hemisphere....Florida's shoreline was 50miles further out into the Atlantic and Gulf (where the Continental Shelf is) before they melted...before the Bergs melted, all Florida had was Catchments of Springs, since the limestone was so close to the surface...

It's actually just the "Bathtub" effect.
So many boats have been flying off the lots for the last 8-10 years across the globe. That it is these millions of new boats and cruise ships that is causing the sea level to rise.

Seems like the accuracy of our hurricane forecasting in respect to at least predicting actual impact upon landfall hasn't improved much since Andrew.

I went to sleep yesterday with every national meteorologist almost getting emotional about the toll this storm was going to impose. I wake up today with a reporter standing on a highway supposedly near where the eye passed over doing a story about how the lights are out on one side of the street.

Same thing every time. It went from "unsurvivable" yesterday to the standard shots of Jim Cantore in a helmet showing the devastation done to carports constructed by rednecks with duct tape, balsa wood, and 40 gauge galvanized metal.

The Earth goes through cycles, it has since the beginning of time. That's what these self righteous "climate change" fruitcakes don't understand. Meanwhile, no other country gives a rat's *** about it.
The funny thing is watching "climate change" believers faces when you ask them how on earth hurricanes in 1780 and 1900 are routinely included in the top 5 worst hurricanes of all time, most of the time topping Katrina. Even better after they actually research it in front of you while calling you a liar.

How they get their ratings i guess but I had to turn them off last night because they talk to you like they are the smartest people on earth and you are just plain ignorant. I am sure they try to get it correct but it leads to people ignoring them when the **** is really about to hit the fan.

We throw the football when it gets a bit breezy.

The only thing inaccurate about this description is the 'redneck' part. Lake Charles is full of cajuns and coonasses. Other than that, spot on post.

The hurricane that send Alexander Hamilton to New York was a **** big one in the 1700s ..

And this is why people do not evacuate when the big ones ultimately do hit.

14 Gauge if they actually have a job. Probably less tho. But overall a very solid point.
