I'll take every scientist who studies the atmosphere over whatever you read on Breitbart. Also nothing I said is virtue signaling, that doesn't even make sense.

What's arrogant about pointing out that hurricanes kill up to 10,000 people each year? It's arrogant to assume you can somehow pray away the needless deaths of people who need to be educated about dangerous natural phenomena.

lol, and with that I'm out, I have better things to do than argue about why Jesus himself won't just dissolve the hurricane so people don't die.

It’s the thought the counts. Who cares if they call it a prayer, a well wish, a call out to Jesus, Adonai, Yahweh, a higher power in the universe.... whatever.

Do you realize that there are 20 million people in the path of this thing and you’re condescendingly excoriating people for saying prayers up? Wtf is wrong with you?

I'm not into prayer myself, but there's no reason to belittle someone who does pray for whatever. I see it as more of a hope, hope for the best that people heeded the warnings and if they didn't, somehow they make it through.

One thing I will say is that a lot of those people who pray for the best, will be sending help when the storm has passed. We see and hear about it every time disasters happen.

I should add that I totally agree that climate change is real. My post isn't an attack on science, I believe in it more than God myself. I just don't hate on those who do believe (wish I had that moment where I too believed in fact) and are largely good people if still imperfect.

Water temperatures in the gulf have increased less than a degree in the last 100 years of tracking. Are you saying that's what's causing stronger hurricanes?

Even the most fervent acolytes of this climate change theory have zero actual scientific proof that anything man has done has caused hurricanes to “get worse”, in fact any changes may be attributed to “natural variability”

Those are climate scientist’s words. Not mine.

You don’t believe in religious faith, yet you believe in the magical climate change religion.
 
Hoping people are listening and are trying to get out of Dodge.

I also hope people go and reach out just like the Louisianans did back when that storm hit Texas a couple years ago.
