It really isn't a double standard. It is the way the word is used. For example. If I went to a fat person and said "You are unhealthily obese" they would most likely get offended, but if a doctor told a patient the same thing that no be offensive. In fact it would be beneficial. Asians and Latinos say the word all the time and it is OK because they are not being racist about it. You even see white people from the hood and white rappers, etc. using it and no one really cares because they are not using it as a slur.
My point is though, that a black guy would never get released from a program for calling a white bread, "Cracka" in an offensive, racially motivated way.
Whats good for one should be good for all.
True but BBC pedals to their own audience also..and your right about msnbc and cnn that are more left. But they don’t pedal absolute nonsense. Like fox questioning Obama’s citizenship, rather he was a Muslim and other crazy ****.
Remember when MSNBC said Hillary Clinton had a 95% chance of winning the election?
Remember how they completely ignored Operation Fast and Furious when Obama was in office?
Remember when they criticized him for reenacting the Patriot Act and unilaterally sending guns to child soldiers in Africa? (They didn't)
And they didn't because he was a democrat.
I don't mind honest, investigative reporting. If Trump was caught with his hand up Putins ***, thats fine, report all the facts and lets get that ******* out of office.
But don't pretend the Democrats are the shining savior of the United States. They aren't.
Journalism is supposed to be unbiased, highly ethical and painstaking fact checked so that the public is aware of the facts.
The problem is these big media outlets can and will use 'sources' for a sensational story, and if it turns out not to be true, the 'sources' are wrong. Peoples lives have been ruined by this sort of tactic.
Its essentially the same ploy used by supermarket tabloids to avoid lawsuits.
I just want cold, hard facts. Period.
