OT Getting new puppy and need name

FYI, Cane was put to sleep. He was, and we had no idea, born with a defective liver. Its was about 1/8 the size it was supposed to be. He was fine until a couple days ago and went to **** in a couple days. Vet specialist said it was a miracle he lasted this long. For those talking **** about pits, he was the sweetest dog ever. Never bit anyone and absolutely loved everyone. I'm hurting. He just turned 2 last month.

Sorry to hear the heart breaking news. I have a blue nose (3 year old) he’s extremely well behaved and loves being around everyone. RIP Cane

Sorry to hear this. Anyone that says it's not like losing a family member is either demented or never had a dog. RIP Cane.

So sorry to hear this. They are like family. I have a cousin who's had pits for years. Raised correctly, they are some of the most loving, loyal dogs of any.

I'm sorry to hear the bad news. My dog Cane passed away a few years back. I had him for 11 years, raised him from a pup. It hurt like ****. I was sobbing like a baby at the vet's office when I had to have him put down for a brain tumor. After a while, I missed having a dog around so I adopted my current dog , Thor.

I cant be mad at you for your beliefs. However i believe your anger is misplaced. Yes,clearly a pitt CAN BE a very dangerous dog (not unlike numerous other breeds that dont get the same horrible reputation from bulldogs, rotts, dobermans, dobos, mastiffs, cane corsos, shar peis,etc...)the only shared factor the vast majority of them hold is human owners who simply arent deserving of their love. People raise these dogs for their own twisted purposes. Be it pieces of **** like mike vick or your average joe with an aggression problem who is simply mad at the world and wears it on his sleeve. No animal is born to be aggressive and to be harmful to others. I have had pitts and other dogs deemed aggressive my entire life. Never once have i regretted one day of that. Reality is my dogs are my world and my kids. Im sorry for whatever probably happened to you but your anger is misplaced...

Spot on. It's the owners not the breeds and certain breeds sadly attract a higher % of morons that shouldn't be trusted with a butterknife let alone another life of any sort.
