OT - Game of Thrones S8

Why wouldn't it be a me-me-me response when you-you-you made it about me-me-me from the very first sentence of your response? C'mon now.

Seriously, here's an interview in which the producers of the show say the pacing issues were a choice they made.
It is titled... wait for it ...

Game of Thrones writers break silence on season 7 pacing criticisms

CLEARLY if they felt the need to address it it was a widespread criticism.

Oh hey! Look at Season 8's metacritic review so far. A very paltry 70 ish (and again,, I liked the first two episodes). Not that those things matter, but it does give you a good gauge, particularly the user score.

I'm sorry you can't discern the difference between criticism and complete dislike, but that sounds like another you-you-you problem. If I say the meal could've used a bit more pepper or less tumeric, it doesn't mean I think the food was trash.

And hey, I think I shall go watch The Expendables. I think it's streaming on one of my apps that I also happen to pay for.

So your "evidence" of people whining about "pacing issues" is to provide internet criticism of "pacing issues".

Borderline retarded.

And the "pacing issues" in the prior season had to do with an acceleration of pace, only 7 episodes, and Jon Snow jumping from the south to the north to the south again with almost no progression of time. Now people are whining about slowness.

The point I made was obvious. Previously, the writers have been adapting 5 books. They have a source document to work from. Now that they are on their own, narratively-speaking, they are doing their best to craft their own ending. Even George RR Martin says that he wishes there were still a few seasons to go. Martin got paid a king's ransom for the rights to the books, and he's had writer's block for 8 years. Too fvck!ng bad.

And stop minimizing your whining and comparing it to wanting more pepper on your food. You are literally calling for a drastic re-editing of the final 6 episodes of a 73 episode series. ****, the next 2 episodes took them 2 months to film, not even counting the editing process. You are entitled to your opinion. You don't need to vomit that opinion all over the internet, particularly in a typical "oh, it would be so easy to fix this, I have a great idea, let's edit 20 minutes out of two episodes and stick them together" fashion.

Enjoy the show or turn it off. But you don't need to rub your sweaty balls on everyone else.

Um did you not see what happened with one of the dragons? Funny that people complain but seem to not have common sense. The last episode was great tv. It’s just all people want to see is fighting and dragons blowing fire.

I apologize for not being smart enough to discern the theatrical nuances of the story-telling of a show that bases it's premise on fantasy

lol at using the dragons when the night king got an aaron rodgers arm, if they send two dragons without there ground units to distract and take attention away those dragons would get bodied

It would be hilarious if Daeny's dragons defy her and ride with Jon. I just have a feeling Daeny will attempt to kill Jon covertly over the next few episodes. She's power hungry.

I have a feeling Cersei survives the whole thing. She is a great character. She's strategic, cut-throat, and the type of person that would survive in real life.

Sansa is probably my least favorite character. She reminds me of every girl I've dated. Hopefully the night king hits her with the death spear first.

Believe it or not, there are gambling odds on who will sit on the iron throne at the end of the Season 8 and Sansa has the best odds:

Sansa Stark +175
Jon Snow +225
Bran Stark +450
Gendry +450
Daenarys Targaryen +500
Arya Stark +800
Samwell Tarly +1000
The Night King +1000
Tyrion Lannister +1200
Cersei Lannister +2500
Jamie Lannister +2500
Davos Seaworth +7500

Surely if you're involved in the show you could make a killing here.

You could make a nice profit, but the site I'm looking at caps the winnings at $1,000. You could have some family and friends create accounts and maybe take home $10k or so, but the site would probably know if a bunch of brand new accounts all hit a max payout on a prop like this and they could refuse to payout if they became suspicious. Or you could shop around and bet this at as many casinos as possible, but I'm not sure how many are offering this prop.

It will be Cersei or Arya. Probably Arya bc Cersei is the villain and they always kill off the villain, even though she would survive in real life. I can't believe Arya got her cheeks clapped last episode though. I had forgot her character is like 18/19. But yeah, I don't really see any of the men surviving. The story will end with a pregnant women sitting on the throne.

Edit: if any of the men survive it will be one of the men that's in a relationship. A woman will definitely survive though. This series makes it a point to be female dominant.

Maybe that was the purpose behind Arya's *** scene. Everyone was so shocked by it, no one seems to mention the fact she could be pregnant and that makes sense for her to sit on the iron throne then.

The series is very female driven, female dominant. That's why I think one will sit on the throne when all said and done. If one of the men do survive it will be one that is in a relationship with a female. They series will definitely end with a way to reproduce iron borns as a cliff hanger. Just in case they want to revisit GoT years later and make a few more millions.
