****Official Herman vs Fuente Thread****

Before you make comments about the situation at Missouri, you may want to educate yourself on what was happening. Jonathan Butler, the grad student that was engaged in a hunger strike, was in serious health decline and some of the players that knew him wanted this thing resolved before he died. Their action, while in my opinion was somewhat misguided, did result in the correct outcome and saved a man's life.

You can forget about Herman, with the retirement of Gary Pinkel at Missouri things changed quickly. Mack Rhoades the Missouri AD, hired Herman when he was in Houston and will go after him for Missouri this coming week. Herman is comfortable with Rhodes and Missouri is a huge step up from Houston. Take Herman off the list.

What good coach is going to want a gig where the inmates run the asylum? They might as well turn Mizzou football into a leper colony.

They do have that relationship. I would like Mr Rhoades at UM as our AD.
Getting a real AD is so much more important than getting a real coach right now. If they fired Blake when they fired golden we would have been in great shape.

TRUTH!

We have a broken system at UM. We need that passionate and competent AD with total control.

While I would still rather have herman by a pretty wide margin, I become more and more impressed with Fuente every week. Can't go wrong with either of these guys

Three TD drives with a third-string QB for Houston in the last 20 minutes of game action, but they're still down 13. Dug themselves too deep a hole in the first 28 minutes and their defense just isn't capable of slowing down Memphis' terrific offense.

Ok. There's some heart on this Houston team.

BTW their Go Cougs hand sign looks dirty. It was pretty funny to see little ol ladies throwin it up at our game down there.

Both these coaches are the real deal. Where ever they end up they are going to do very well.

So refreshing to see coaches doing more with less

Brutal drop on 3rd & 9 takes away what should've been a conversion.

This is the correct call by Herman. Have to go for it here down 13 with a defense that can't stop them aside from an unforced error.

Yep. Everything starts at the top of any and every organization. When the top is disfunctional it trickles down to the rest of the organization. It's why we have a clown show of a search where the fans have to be implored to email Miller (who shouldn't even be part of the search) and tell him to fire golden and who to hire. Whole thing is an embarrassment.

Yup. Both these coaches are going to have big time futures. Imagine if we were so lucky to grab one.

Reaks of classic UM micromanagement under Shalala.

Absolutely. Fuente's offense has been brilliant tonight and their defense is playing much better than they did against Navy. Houston was terrible to start the game, but Herman has adjusted and they're fighting like **** with a third-string QB pressed into action due to Ward's injury.

Impressive stuff all around.

RIDICULOUS! He could have gotten himself a cheeseburger at any time.
