Note From Tuesday’s Practice

He's been trash with the dolphins and reminds me of Mallory when he run blocks.

You have to be explosive off the line. Giesecki has long speed. He's been exposed.

But I agree look at his Ped State tape. Can Mallory catch is the question.

You might want to check Gesicki’s combine numbers. The guy had a 6.76 3-cone and 4.1 shuttle at 6-6. That’s freakish short area quickness, not just long speed.

His problem is his workout speeds in shorts doesn’t translate to on field. He runs awkward as **** with poor balance in games/pads and his athleticism, outside of jump balls, never really showed on tape. It’s similar to Raekwon McMillan with his 40 time but slower play speed.

That said Penn State still used him much much better. Gesicki is the worst blocker I’ve ever seen, so he was either flexed or playing h-back and just a body to run through. Mallory will be better than that just by trying.

I don't agree with you very often but in this case I do. I was surprised we didn't see Irvin out there chipping and trying to help save the young tackles asses. Was brutal watching them get eatin alive all game long.

Most people dont want facts, the personnel decisions in this game werent the best, for coach enos to say how jt4 was coming wide open, and not one time did i see him go max protection on a pass play, that's **** poor coaching and hanging your young tackles and qb out to dry, that 1st drive could've set up the rest of the game nicely, but misuse of offensive personnel was an issue. We dont need to see kj osborn getting jet sweep hand offs again, if anything, when they flexed deejay dallas outside, why not have him comeback in motion as a jet sweep option. For coach diaz and enos to try and act like that touchdown run deejay had was a direct threat of having tate martell's none doing **** *** in the game is disrespectful to deejay, both of them need to GTFOH our with that non-sense, had kj osborn scored a touchdown on a similar play with transfer tate in the game i might've said well, maybe, but transfer tate like mallory hasnt done a damyum thing in a game for any d-co or defensive player to be concerned, so manny up their talking all that dumb **** about "if tates in the game, a d-co needs to be worried" manny, GTFOH with that **** you made up in your head, go ask gratham how worried he was with tate,in fact he said, Thank You for wasting plays giving him the ball in the redzone, i told people way before gameday, that **** tate wasnt out running nobody on the gaytors defensive squad. In the meantime, somebody tell me if they see tate anywhere on these plays, according to coach diaz and enos, he had to be, help me out, cause i cant find em:

It doesn’t matter if they call him a TE or a WR. His role will be as a receiver. He’ll split out and run routes like a WR. He’s not and never will be a traditional TE.
That's what the dopes don't understand, he'll never once play with his hand in the dirt & block on the LOS like a traditional TE, he's a Flex TE/WR that would be utilized to force a mismatch vs a LB in coverage.

He should be a Red Zone specialist catching jump balls & quick slants, he still has the same lanky thin frame he's had since coming out of HS, he's added more weight but still isn't a prototype stocky built TE.

His strengths are his crazy long NBA size wingspan & catch radius.

People wrote off Ed Reed early on as well. Santana Moss, too. Such short memories around here.

Santana Moss dropped a sure touchdown, all alone, in the orange bowl, on the way to the end zone. It was a catch even a clumsy fat kid could’ve made. You’re right he was written off his sophomore year.

But that's the CISTard way. Write somebody off after a couple of drops in the first game.

It’s like some people here are just blabbering, slobbering, low IQ, knuckle dragging, over emotional children.

Throwing tantrums and saying really stupid shlt based on very little. Prisoners of their own emotional immaturity and low intelligence.

You mean this catch radius???

Edit: Both of these are in double coverage and on the second one he is not even fully extended and still 2 ft above the top of CB's helmet....

And that's how he should be used.

Yeah, I understand people getting emotional right after a loss, but jeez, it's been 4 days already. Enough with the over-reactions already. A couple bad plays doesn't make someone a scrub.

I was hoping to see him or Mallory with a back-shoulder EZ pass. Jarren has the accuracy. Not sure why we didn't try that.

Was just about to say this. If Njoku is not going to be on the line blocking, which I don't think he can do, then he's still a receiver lol. Cool he has TE next to his name on the depth chart now.

Exactly.

He might have the title but that dude won’t be lining up inline.

Preach.

That dude is nowhere near being a te. He’ll only be flexed out if he does play. He’s a wr, I don’t care where they put him at practice.

The media did not see much during practice, but we did see the offensive skilled position players going through ball security drills. One thing that caught my eye was Evidence Njoku going through the drills with the tight end group. I was able to confirm through a source that Njoku is getting a look at tight end.
Should have been moved to flex TE when he first got here
