I think primarily inside but he has played quite a bit on the edge as well.DT all the way
And Heatherman seems to prefer DT's in that 280-300 range to the massive guys.Trust Hetherman/Lewis/Taylor.
I imagine he will primarily play inside but line up all over the front at some point. The little bit I’ve seen from him, his effort and play speed stands out, and that was as a starter in the B1G. Him coming in with fresh legs as a backup will be an issue for opposing ACC OL with more talent beside him.
D linemen want to be coached by Jason Taylor as well. They know what's up.I find myself surprised by these pickups in a good way. But then I realized we just played for a natty and kids want to be apart of this
Yeah, seemed like a reachFrom a pure personnel standpoint, yes probably. But Hetherman is a 1gap penetrating up field attack guy and 3-4 is 2 gapping primarily so we won’t see any of that. We have big athletic mfs that we can do a bunch of sh*t with though, and I trust him to do just that.
what we lost in terms of pure impact with Bain and Mesidor, Miami might make up for with sheer volume/depth upfront
I was just thinking that. Miami didn’t rotate a lot because they had two nfl elite DE’s.
Next year you likely see true 8 man rotations across the DL with the depth and different pieces Miami has.
Miami went back to the transfer portal and added another defensive lineman.
Nebraska’s transfer defensive lineman Keona Davis announced Saturday afternoon that he’s heading to Coral Gables to join the Hurricanes’ defensive front, which is already stacked with high level talent.
Davis started on the Cornhuskers’ line and this past season racked up 32 tackles, one sack, and a pass deflection. The Tucson, Arizona, native still has two seasons of eligibility and should only get better with more playing time.
The 6-foot-5, 275-pounder spent two years at Nebraska, already bringing plenty of experience with 42 career tackles and 1.5 sacks since joining college football.
The Big Ten transfer is now the eighth full-time scholarship player Miami has added from the portal this cycle, with more moves expected.
I would call Hearherman since he’s the d cord . Im sure he has a plan like he does Blount .Give Coach Cristobal a call, maybe you can enlighten him on position
I think we will have some who will make a impactGood get, makes us not having to depend on anybody from the 26 class to make an immediate impact.
