Miami vs UNC game may have to be cancelled/rescheduled

I can’t see it being a good thing that it has stalled out over the Bahamas. Only slowing down the impact day of the Carolinas. Now it’s looking like it won’t be till Friday when it’s passing NC. Just don’t see how we play unless it really pushes out into the Atlantic.
Its been going that way the whole time. Turn off the weather channel **** head and look at the daily forecast from the National Weather Service. I live Florida and every year it gets worse and worse with this non sense of the cone of uncertainty. It's going to get people killed one day like the little boy that cried wolf.

You’re not a very gracious loser.

Some rags says the size of Georgia. It’s not.

“Florida Today” - LOL.

I’m about 80 miles from the hurricane. Haven’t felt a thing. Oh but it’s the size of Georgia. Get a clue
The old shoot-the-messenger fail. Lets pretend all of these satellite pictures are faked! LOL.
Its not a conspiracy... hurricanes are literally hundreds of miles wide! WTF is wrong with you? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

You see that orange circle? Thats the extent of the wind-field. Let alone the trailer bands of rain. Are you done embarassing yourself yet or will you call out NOAA and the NWS as a conspiracy also?

You really are so fūcking stupid it’s painful.

That orange disk is 39 mph winds. You don’t even know how to read a fūcking map legend. I live literally 5 miles from that orange circle you retarded fūckface.

I live in ******* south Florida. I’ve had four of these things hit me. You must live in fūckin North Dakota. You’re an idiot - you don’t know what you’re talking about. I do.

Again, this hurricane is not the size of Georgia. That’s just a lie. It’s more media hype. The destructive part of this hurricane the only part that matters, is about 30 miles extending outward from the eye. That’s just a fact

Please check on your insurance policies and know what’s coverage and how the coverage is applied.
  • Flood damage is rarely covered in a homeowners policy but is available as a separate policy.
    • If it’s water from outside, even in a hurricane, it won’t be covered. You must call NFIP.
  • If flood water reaches the seats of your vehicle, it will most likely be a total loss.
    • Insurance will pay the lesser of market value or what’s owed, minus the salvage value. Not much.
  • An insurance company will only indemnify you, pay to get you back to your state prior to the covered peril.
    • Normally that’s ACV (Actual Cash Value), which is Replacement Cost minus depreciation.
    • So it might cost 40k to replace your roof, but it’s 20 years old - insurance might pay 10k
  • Hurricanes and named catastrophes are normally covered but carry a different deductible than other perils.
    • Ex: Wind damage on a 200k dwelling may have a 1k deductible, which means you pay first 1k of repairs
    • Ex: Hurricane Wind damage on same house may have a 5%deductible, which means you pay first 10k of repair

This Hurricane is literally just sitting around waiting for us lol...

Dorian is a fckin *******.
Anytime it sits and churns, it becomes more of a flood and surge situation. If you are in a flood zone, get some light weight mosquito clothing, some Avon Skin So Soft Bug Repellent as well as ammonia and moth balls for snakes and reptiles.

If you mean where the most destructive winds are, then yes. But the main issue with slow moving storms (regardless of wind speed) is rain. Harvey cost 125 billion in damage and much of that was flood related. If it stalls out over the Carolinas like it did the Bahamas, it will cost A LOT of money.

“Dorian is literally the size of Georgia”

LOL....Dorian, even if it stalls, will not flood anything resembling the size of Georgia.

Probably not. But if the Eastern side of the state is flooded, I doubt there will be football games. Players have families there (one of reasons Miami didn't want to play Arky State when we cancelled couple years ago) . It would be a big distraction if players are worrying about their families. It would also be bad optics to be playing football if NC is just 1 day removed from catastrophic flooding. I want them to play, but states tend to err on the side of caution when it comes to hurricanes.

From the latest (0500) NHC Forecast Discussion on Dorian:

Key Message

3. The risk of life-threatening storm surge and hurricane-force
winds continues to increase along the coast of North Carolina.
Residents in these areas should follow advice given by local
emergency officials.

Local coastal officials have already started to evacuate some areas; the decision window is starting to close and the optics may drive it in the wrong direction.

Probably not. ...

Everything after “probably not” was not the topic or the issue.

The back and forth was about the bullshlt media-fueled assertion that this thing was the “size of Georgia” - I wouldn’t have a house if it was. I barely got rain or wind and I was in or on the “orange circle”

You can speculate all you want about the impact to NC...but that’s not the point.

The oranges disc is the physical size of Dorian. Who is the ******* stupid one who spoke out of their *** and now can't find a place to park your shortbus goalposts that's gets you out of looking like a complete moron. Fact, Dorian is the size of Georgia. It's not a conspiracy, grow the **** up up and take the L like a man.

You mean satellite photo-fueled and NOAA radar-fueled assertions that Dorian is the size of Georgia. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

LOL at asshòle telling me I’m in a hurricane.

Dorian is tight as fūck. That’s why I’m sitting pretty and only the Bahamas are being destroyed.

If Dorian was the size of Georgia, south Florida would be a mess, you fūcking backwoods idiot.
