I could apply these to multiple porsters hereCliff notes from that Vols thread.
Mario is a hypocrite
Canes tampered
Miami is rebuilding
More exposure at UT than UM
Liked this kid
He was passed up on the depth chart anyways
He was just holding out for a pay raise
He will have to sit out a year*
*Someones a little behind the times.
I agree with this post. I also agree with my buddy @Hurracanes it was an underwhelming spring portal.Even with what I have said about Thomas and prefer Haulcy… we now have 2 safeties better than our best safety a year ago.
Meesh wasn’t terrible but he was played out of position. Hes more of a nickel. Poyser and Thomas are better true safeties. Could probably throw Day in that conversation with the growth/development he has had since then.
Now let’s get Keionte Scott and a DT and close it up.
Sure.Great feedback, would recommend...... Any chance you can give a brief summary on why? Possibly support this statement? JC man ease up.
I think our LBs are better than we think. Wes B is solid, just not a flashy playmaker; Popo performs whenever he is given am opportunity; Alderman is a solid 3rd/4th; and I don't think we can write off the younger ones.So all those LBers we’ve brought in through HS suck?
Poyser Free and this guy in the box more not too bad.My $ is on him starting. He was going to start for UT according to them so I don’t think he came here to ride the pine.
The BYU WR is a nice playmaker in the return game and definitely provides more juice there. But as a WR, his production has been average at best, especially against good competition. The BYU all-American returner/WR is a JAG? The NC State LB who was slated to start there? The Tennessee safety projected to start there?
New season. I'm not exactly excited with the kicked. He choked. I'm not sure how any of the offensive guys will have an impact or not. The back 4 is 10x better than last year. We haven't even seen beck play. Look if miami rolls out the roster and Notre Dame destroys us I guess then most of what you've provided is true. Don't ruin fandom calculating the season to come.Sure.
The BYU transfer is an average WR but has gadget value and will boost returns. The Tenn safety is a quality 3rd-4th safety but unlikely to be more than that. The RB is a quality 3rd RB, with potential for more due to his age. The new kicker had a nightmare season last year, including miss crucial kicks in the CFP. The NC St LB was a missed tackle machine. The Cincy WR brings nothing incremental to the roster (unless are young WRs are really useless.)
The team is probably better today than it was a couple of months ago, but not by much.
There are only 12 games a season. We're not only allowed to be fans during a few hours on those dozen Saturdays. "Calculating the season" is a huge part of the college football fan experience.New season. I'm not exactly excited with the kicked. He choked. Thisit was an underwhelming spring portal.
When is Keionte Scott coming on his visit, he is a huge need for sure. Also, does Miami have any DT on their radar that you know of? Don't need names, just hope there is a DT out there to fill that need. Thanks in advance.Even with what I have said about Thomas and prefer Haulcy… we now have 2 safeties better than our best safety a year ago.

Love on first drive of ND game. His one job is a knockout the Clemson quarterback
Portal rankings, while improving, are still flawed. But they provide valuable context because the ranking is relative to other teams.
In my opinion, the “realists” too often fail to consider that other teams have needs, too. Could we use another good DT? Absolutely. So could everyone in America. That’s why Oklahoma paid seven figures to keep David Stone from jumping in the Portal. We aren’t the only team spending on limited supply.
I saw my guy @WeBallinBoyz reference Cormani and other Portal rankings inflated by high school rankings. Okay. How many of those guys are in our class? None from what I can see. Everybody was a college starter. Almost all were from P4, and the ones who weren’t (Poyser, Blay, Brown) were among the best players at their level. The ranking is not inflated by volume, either- we are Top 3 in average Portal ranking (90.06).
Am I disappointed a receiver like Eric Singleton didn’t jump in the spring portal? Of course. WR1 was a goal that was not met. We could still use more depth at DT and safety. But this was a very productive offseason. There are still a couple things alive, but it’s pretty much done. Now it’s time to coach the guys we have and win the ACC.

Marcelin is also injured.Other than Wiley and Hayes it’s been mostly undersized sub 200 lb recruits so it’s not that shocking is it?
Then injuries to GreenTree AA Chase Smith and Bobby Washington who had a foot out the door this winter.
its also not realistic to have a perfect rosterPortal rankings, while improving, are still flawed. But they provide valuable context because the ranking is relative to other teams.
