Mario's recruiting vs Lane's offense

Soooooo what would you rather have?

Small part of me hopes we whiff on Mario and Lane and settle on a Bill Clark type just so the board doesn't have to suffer from incessant "Should've Hired Kiffin/Cristobal" threads for the next 3-5 years.

Welp...I watched what Butch did down 31 Schollies...No Bowl or TV for a yr, Murder of a future star LBer, on campus no less, and the #1 Sports Magazine in America calling for the dismantling of UMs entire FB program, and wayyyyy worse public perception, so you'll have to excuse me if I'm not all that impressed...
 
Mario recruiting and i trust that he would hire great coaches below him. And we would be tough on the line of scrimmage.

Trust me I respect it, but assuming Mario will be Exactly what butch was is certainly not a slam dunk (and honestly I don’t want him to be like butch, he f^cked us in certain aspects)…I just prefer Kiffin, but it’s really splitting hairs imo.
 
Cristobal will have us have like 7 of the top 10 prospects in south florida. He will get us top 5 classes. He will have us over taking Clemson with the #1 classes in the ACC. I don't think yall understand how good of a recruiter he is. His first full class would be top 10, probably top 7. Don't care which team we have to push out

Butch didn't F us any different than what Howard and JJ did....Thing is, all 3 left UM Stocked with talent for the coaches that followed...it's not Butch's fault that Coker drove a Dynasty into a toilet....Butch left UM with the Greatest collection of talent in NCAA History...

This is some real Miami/Mario exceptionalism right here. Kirby Smart with the best recruiting class in the country and all the things that state does to make sure Georgia recruits stay home doesn't even have 7 of the top 10 recruits in the state. He's running at 5 out of 10. You guys think Mario is some type of magician I guess.

With all the talk about Oregon and Cristobal's recruiting, I find it odd that they are a 3.5 point underdog today. Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss would not be an underdog @ Utah. They'd probably be favored by 10.
 
Weve been *** for too long. If Mario struggles his 1st season, everyones going to think were still the same ol miami. Lane is perfect fit.
 
Cristobal is an elite recruiter, when the infrastructure is there and he can leverage it. Guess what? Miami will never be allowed to have that infrastructure, because this isn't nowhere, Oregon or Tuscaloosa. You start doing the things that those schools do, and you'll have SI, The Miami Herald and every network in existence reporting on it.

Give me a coach that can not only recruit decently(If you win, you'll get bumped up), but can also win with scheme. A guy that can take solid to above average talent and make it elite. Kiffin has that potential. He can take **** good talent and make it look spectacular thanks to his ability to manage an offense. Get him a top end DC and go from there. It's not like Kiffin hates recruiting or isn't able to close, he just isn't some super recruiter, mostly because he has rarely been in environments where that infrastructure could be called upon.

Oregon recruiting was average to below average before him. They are now top 7. Oregon doesn't even have many players near them. We do.

That has nothing to do with your claim. Kirby Smart has the best recruiting class in the country and is an elite recruiting HC. He isn't even doing what you're predicting Mario will. And with how prone Mario is to losing to teams he has no business losing to you can forget about 7 out of 10.

I will stand by it. None of them teams reside in south florida. They don't have as many top ranked players in their area. Cristobal can recruit as well as Jimbo can and look what he is doing at Texas A&M. I will stand by and you don't have to back and forth me with, cuz its my opinion just like u have a contrary one homie.
