There sure is a miserable collection of impatient aholes that inhabit this site. It's difficult to determine if you're trolls or seriously can't put things into perspective. Maybe you're incapable of looking at things objectively and thinking logically.
I stated it previously I was a Lane Kiffin guy. I wanted him when they hired Sylvester (Manny). However, the powers that be decided Mario was the better fit for the job. I'm a little more trusting of this decision since the individuals involved didn't include Donna, Blake, or the other f*cking boneheads that's stuck us with all the bargain bin coaches we've been through since Butch left.
The guy is five **** games into his contract. He's not going anywhere anytime soon. Just like the rest of you I was ****ed about MTSU, but lets be honest if our guys show up we win that game going away. They took the team lightly, gave them extra confidence with turnovers early and it cost them. Can anyone look at that game and objectively not agree if we play that team ten times we beat them nine out of ten? Yes, ultimately that falls on Mario to have the team ready to play, but players at some point have to be held accountable. They are getting paid like professionals. With that comes baring some responsibility for the results. This is a pattern under the previous coach as well with some of these same players. Manny almost lost to Central Michigan then proceeded to lose to FIU, Duke, and La Tech to finish out 2019. Manny didn't get the hate that Mario is getting until about the end of year two.
I realize every team has dealt with injuries, but this team has been very injury plagued this year. Most I've seen from potential starters in a long time. Especially on one side of the ball.
- Citizen - Out for the year
- Chaney - Out for most the year
- Zion - Out for majority of the year
- Knighton - Dinged up first 2 games (Still doesn't look fully healthy)
- X - Out for most likely rest of the year
- Jacolby George - Out for multiple weeks
- Jakai Clark - Was dinged up earlier in the year and Injured this weekend
- Justice Oluwaseun - Injured (Likely out rest of the year)
- Elijah Arroyo - Out for the rest of the year
That is two of our best all around game breaking running backs and also our best two receivers. That along with two of our best offensive lineman. We are not at a point where we have good previously developed depth right now to withstand injuries like above. You don't believe a line of Zion, Rivers, Clark, Scaife, and Campbell would not be generating push when we need a yard.
Main point is look at the whole picture, give the guy a break, and some time to turn this roster around with more portal additions and recruiting.
