In these terms, yes that’s what I’m saying. This guy wasn’t some stud player for Miami. And how’s he qualified to coach QB’s not much older than him? lol. Obv he’s not looking for a coaching career, more like a media career

If I were wealthy, with thousands of alternate **** to get excited with - I would probably be able to afford extreme patience.

I would probably accept dumbass-ness in an OC - and patiently suffer the rest of the season.

I could also ignore the fact that our new Miami concept will never work here, and accept that in another five or six years - it will be self correcting with another coach - with HIS new concept - that won't work here, either.

I'm just not that wealthy.

I want some *** fired!

And a real OC hired!

Like one of those OC's who makes fools out of us when they bend us over and root us good!
 
What if both QBs struggle? And….both hit the portal. The Canes enter 2023 with a raw prospect in Brown, plus true freshman in Rashad and Williams. Assuming both stick with their commitment.

Gattis has to go. Replaced by a lab rat OC and a dedicated WR coach. Another on the staff would have to go. Not sure who..

What does his ability/play as a QB have to do with anything?

He knows more about football than likely every poster on this board. You want to trust him or #1canesfan69 or some other random, nameless, faceless poster?

He offered an intelligent opinion. You can disagree with it but to criticize his play is not necessary.

this is what I dont understand. Its like our fans just complain without really thinking. You have a qb who cant hit open receivers and be accurate at all. But the OC who can see and knows this already should be uber aggressive in the red zone when the field is compressed. I mean what could go wrong?!? :ROFLMAO:

Sorry he lost me at “leader”. I’m a TVD fan, but he needs to be better. He doesn’t start games well and everyone, including his teammates, can see his frustration on his face. He’s got work to do. It’s a long season. Take a breath. Half a loaf is better than no loaf. Drew obviously got in his head. Step back!

that narrative was alive and well before he even took this job. Yet, with the narrative looming over him, he hired Gattis.
I can only speak for myself but i dont give a **** about their narratives. They have 1 single obligation & that's to win games. If you hired the wrong OC but the backup looks better running the ****** plays, then it's your responsibility to the players and fans to play whoever gives you the best chance to WIN.
 
Malik should stfu. Creating more drama for a halfway split receiving room. Your around both these guys and puts something like this out there. Straight clown ish

Just watched the game again. @Rickd knows QB play very well.

We can agree on the following: TVD left some plays out there. Stared down some receivers, had some balls batted down. Missed some throws especially to the middle of the field. #70 Justise (@Tracy724’s favorite O-lineman was horrific all game. #53 Clark got pushed back way to often). #22 Franklin was really bad pass blocking and just being physical. #80 & #85 bad job blocking on good plays drawn up.

So many route concepts drawn up are just trash, however. Need more RPO slants & concepts. Need less 10-15 yard routes on Max Protect. When 8 guys in the box, please, why motion more guys into the bunch to draw in even more defenders especially since they play so much man defense?

This has also led to miscommunication with the offensive line in terms of whom they need to block because of how bunched up every one is. Spread it out!!!! Make it easier for your O-line.

So many more examples. The missed passes are obvious to see which is why fans mostly remember and jump on those plays but there is so much other sh*t going on with this offense and the OC is not doing enough to help his O-line and QB.

boar, his body language and facial expression were just awful on Saturday.
