Rumor Lots of Smoke at Auburn (about Harsin)..... (think they’d come after) Steele(?)

I stumbled on an Auburn twitter space a few minutes ago. A couple of their fan site writers are on it and all kinds of media and players.... hundreds of people....

Talk on there is Harsin has been set up to take the proverbial "perp walk" tomorrow. The SEC meetings are scheduled to start tomorrow at 10 am in Birmingham. There will be hordes of media there waiting....

Tony Franklin was submitted to this same "perp-walk" shenanigan when Tommy Turbeville scapegoated and canned him publicly.
Poor guy was being filmed live as he was unpacking his office.
A bunch of classless colostomy bag wearing mongoloids representing that school.

He did attend. Went in a side door. apparently had an unmarked police car escort.

funny story though. Camera crews were out front waiting. apparently Jimbo pretended to be on his cell phone to avoid talking to anyone.

This is the most bizarre episode in college football I’ve seen may be in the last 20 years. Can anybody tell me anything that matches this that’s happened in the last couple of decades or so?

I don’t know, maybe the whole Johnny Manziel charging for autographs deal, which the NCAA eventually ended up sweeping the dirt under the rug. But no that’s not even close.

There’s been a few other weird things that have happened, but this one is bizarre. You’ve got ***, lying, cheating, a couple hot babes. It feels like a whole TMZ type deal.

Honestly bro, this is one of the wildest years/off seasons ever in college football lol

I'm sorry, but the "neck brace" puts Petrino right up there at the top. You can mute your computer, you can erase all context, but as soon as you see that picture of Petrino in a neck brace, you are spitting out whatever you were drinking...

This is definitely up there. I don't know what's at the very top but three debacles featuring godforsaken Notre Dame also come to mind- George O'Leary's hiring/firing, Manti T'eo's "girlfriend" and Brian Kelly killing Declan Sullivan.

Those are some good mentions. It’s always good to remember these kinds of things because once they are not in the news, we tend to forget about them.

There’s no doubt the Petrino incident is right at the top, had forgotten about it actually. It was funny, but in a way that was a more straightforward thing than what’s going on with Harsin. Petrino was just a horn dog straight banging a young employee in the athletic department. Bosses banging underlings is as old as the Bible.

The difference in this that it has so many moving parts, so many different kinds of things, involves more than one person, actually several, in different sexual shenanigans. Supposedly. Or it could all or partially be a disinformation campaign and smear campaign by Auburn University.

That’s what I mean, this thing has levels to it.

Agreed.

But there's no way in **** that any rational human being allows himself to be filmed wearing that neck brace, with those injuries, in that situation.

People can forget/forgive a lot, but that picture is FOREVER...

That’s all a great part of the that story. It’s it’s what literally made it a knee slapper. As far as the neck brace - that guy went flying off a motorcycle, I think he had to wear it. I’m not sure he had a choice in the matter.

But just think, had he not had that accident, he would have stayed in Arkansas, and who knows what their trajectory would have been. He’s not the first coach to have an illicit affair with someone that worked in the same department and the general public never found out about it. In his case it was his bad luck that he was a shltty motorcycle driver.

Disirregardless of this affair he had with a young lady, he was a scumbag anyway. Everywhere he went he left a trail of people that absolutely hated him and thought he was a phony from the get-go. The way he left the Atlanta Falcons was an all-time sleaze move.

Liked this post solely for the use of "disirregardless". Well done.

Harsin isn't fired yet? I thought he was fired last week. Camp starts in about 4 weeks. They better step up their investigation of the investigation. Every Auburn coach ends with a character assassination going back to Terry Bowden.
