True freshman at Arizona is not having any issues vs 5 ranked opponents in a row. He also has the starter, De Laura behind him at 2nd QB (he lost his job due to injury and will never get it back).

Not saying Emory is the same or will have success like him but he should’ve played vs NC State and he should’ve started vs UVA.

Fifita is a dog and a great find by Fisch. De Laura ain’t getting his job back.

Offensive scheme matters, and makes life easier on kids that are already young and feel pressure. It’s the coach’s job to alleviate that and make things as simplistic as possible in order to achieve success.

Well it's a classic conundrum... If we start Emory we may get interceptions against FSU, but what would we get with TVD a bunch of scoring drives???
Ok, now if he gets electro-shock treatment this week well there may be improvement.
 
It literally doesn’t matter if it’s TVD or Emory starting as long as Dawson is calling the offense. In every stop in his career—save for when he was with Holgerson—he has been trash as a playcaller. His play designs are awful, particularly against zone, there’s no creativity (unless you consider motioning X in to block linebackers creative), and he seems incapable of making his qb’s life easier or finding ways to get the ball consistently to in the hands of his playmakers.

Emory was okay to start against UVA and NC State as well. Its not Emory who is "not okay," it's our head coach who is not okay.

This would be a typical Cafecito Morono move. Not give Emory the deserved start against UVA, not give him any reps off the bench at NC State, then name him the starter on Friday for the FSU game. And not because he's trying to keep FSU off balance, because he wont actually make the decision until then.

I don’t think the game being on the road matters to Williams. He seems like the kind of kid who would love the environment and embrace it. Teammates would absolutely play harder for him. TVD looks like he pees sitting down now because he’s afraid he will miss the toilet. There is nothing positive that could happen playing TVD. That is exactly why he will start and we will get thrashed.

Dorsey didn’t. Gino did, I guess, but didn’t see the field for over a year after his first game he got destroyed.

Agree 100%. Emory should have played, and played a lot, especially after seeing the poor results against UVA by our QB.
I hate Saban but he would have pulled TVD after the 1st half against NCSU, and maybe not played him at all.

Completely agree.

Look what Saban did when Milroe looked like doo doo early on. He gave the other kid the start and played him the entire game @USF. Bama nearly lost that game but it sure got Milroe focused. The kid has been super productive since.

Well Emory isn’t going to be starting next yr, right? So he can go through recovery if he has a rough 3 weeks
