Miami admin must be addressing commitment issues in a big way, and must be committing to a stadium or something

Chip's "adaptation" simply isn't very good. The Eagles O is mostly pretty sad. Chip needs a dominant QB, just like everybody else. Otherwise, he seems average, at best.

I believe that Butch would build a more fundamentally sound team.

Amazing possibility and opportunity for Miami. We'd extremely lucky to land him. Tremendous hire and a guy who could change the entire dynamic that we currently have here within 1 year.

I think there are some naturals for him at USC though, particularly with recruiting because of his history at Oregon. The advantage is only early on imo because I think he would gain ground quickly at Miami.

He's an intelligent guy. He's working both programs trying to get the best deal possible. Anything is possible. From a fan standpoint, Shalala is gone. Our usual salary issues may not be as much of a problem anymore.

Bottom line- if our menu consists of Chip Kelly and Butch, we are in good shape.

I think the thing we do have going for us is that Chip Kelly hated USC while he was at Oregon. So while there are many things that make sense for him to go there, this could prevent it. We already know he has a huge ego, maybe he decides to come here not only a fvck off to SC but also as a show of respect spect to Phil Knight and Oregon.
 
Another possible explanation for this purposeful leak could be that the BOT wants to create the ILLUSION that they're going all out, while really having no intention to do so.

They're going to go cheap again. That's their history. Bet on it.

I don't know what to say other than an older man (as opposed to some excitable kid) who's been around the program and heavily supporting for 35 years said the words I stated in my original post. I would be legitimately shocked if he did to "toy" with anyone. Someone respectfully said above that it may be "bad" info. Who knows. I think it's meaningful to post information that indicates we are trying to score a legitimate name.

Some will and have said it's BS or that I'm clickbaiting. Believe me, I understand the perspectives. I sat on my hands throughout the last coaching hysteria. If I have nothing else to add during the following weeks, I'll do so again. So be it.

Don't get butthurt about the fact that our school has NEVER been willing to seriously invest in our football program.... It's simply the truth. I'd love for us to make this kind of move and do whatever's necessary to get him, we'll see if something has changed

LOLOL "never". You must have become a fan in 2005. Coker was one of the highest paid coaches in the sport. We hired a NFL HC before too. Do you even know that? Are u even aware what kind of a hire Schnelly was? We did that before we had one tenth the cache and money we have now.

Did they not hire JJ from OK State?
