The whole "Leach can't recruit" argument doesn't make sense because there's not a single coach in America that has proven to do more with less than Leach. He gives you a top 10 Offense every yr regardless. Also..recruiting defense at the big 3 FL schools is literally the easiest thing to do. Even known corches like Muschump and Mcelwain were able to consistently field good defenses. There's no way in **** he won't have a top 25 Defense @ FSU. Its almost virtually impossible

Good defensive coordinators will be lining up for him at FSU. Access to great talent and they will know he will score points.
 
Leach has the 61st ranked recruiting class overall over the last four years.

He has been a head coach for 18 seasons and has FIFTEEN seasons with at least four losses.

He's 1-6 against Washington and hasn't scored more than 17 points against them in the last six seasons.

I'd cry tears of joy if he was hired in Tallahassee.

Leach is the antichrist of leadership. He may be an offensive genius but that guy leading a bunch of South Florida divas who talk trash, never back it up, and think they are tough monsters? FSU might be worse off than they were with Taggart.

Leach also can’t recruit so now anyone wanting to stay local wouldn’t be looking at FSU. The guy doesn’t recruit. FSU might recruit itself but Taggart is a significantly better recruiter than Leach and we all saw what happened there.

I’d like to see a study of Leach’s offensive numbers and wins against top 10 CFB defenses. I don’t dismiss his resume, but he runs up stats on bad teams and bad defenses. Maybe now that a large percentage of CFB plays some version of a spread and forgoes defense Leach can live up to the hype.
