i literally posted about this kid...MONTHS on top of MONTHS AGO. Im putting out my resume for the recruiting staff soon

New Orleans also has another kid i wished we offered or looked at. Kid is in the Nigel Bethel mode...only played 1 year of football..Brother of Speedy Noil and friends with Geral Willis and Stan Dobard.

Why didn't you try to be a scout for college teams? Even at a lower tier school you have an eye and you seem passionate about it

Good stuff. Glad to see that the new staff is doing their best to correct the obvious mistakes of the old crew. Bring in more talent at the position, and bring in more bodies. We also have a PWO invite to another QB as well. Just cannot go trusting Perry/Weldon to not do something idiotic.

Not clearing out anyone. You recruit a QB every year no matter what. There will be a natural transfer attrition because we now have 4 QBs each having 3-4 years of eligibility. The QB room is stacked to produce elite QB competition. Whomever winds up being the starter, at least 2 are going to transfer. That's just the nature of college football today. So, there will be 1 freshman QB in 2019 and probably 2 in 2020. The same repeat-transfer will happen with the 2020 kids down the road.

Nope. That defense they've got will cause them to get beat again in the 1st rd. Also would watch Texas.

He got benched cause Tua is a better pure passer. Not because hurts can’t play. Hurts came on as a pure athlete. If we had Hurts we get 10 plus wins. OU about to have the best rush attack on CFB. That O won’t look the same but the end results will be the same.

I still suspect Hurts didn't like UM or the city, or both. It is not for everybody. I read that he did not have a great visit. Norman might be more his speed.How do you know he would have come but for Martell? No sure thing he would have faced competition from Martell since there's no sure thing Martell is eligible for 2019. My hunch is that he won't be, although I hope I'm wrong.

What's your source? Or are you just pulling it out of your *** like half the anonymous mom's basement dwellers here do?

Who gets to keep all of Jonathan's frequent mileage points for constantly flying back and forth to Oregon? Did he have to turn them in to the university or did he get to keep them? Should be required to turn them in. The Richt's are already rich. Mark has millions in the bank, I'm sure.

Is it true his wife was on salary as water manager?

WTF is this business with a hydration specialist anyway? Back in the day teams had a waterboy or water girl and that was it. Used to be the boy was a who got to hang around with the cool guys, the jocks. If it was a girl, she was usually plump and homely but she would never get a date with a cool guy, a jock. Those dates were reserved for the cheerleaders, the female cheerleaders. Nowadays, it might be the male cheerleaders, you never know.

In my day, a homo player was unknown. No Aaron Hernandez. Only player I ever heard about was Jackie Smith in the pros

Not saying anything negative, but back in my day you didn't undress and shower with **** in the locker room. My generation would've been highly uncomfortable. Of course having women in the locker room, same issue.

He might find a repeat of Bama with Rattler. Displaced by stud precocious freshman who passes better. If it does happen, sad for Jalen. He could have come to Miami and have better guarantee of full year starter. And had his old QB coach.

I really do think the story I read, not from a south Florida source or writer, that south Fla and UM was not his cup of tea. Did not like what he saw.

Just like back in the day Miami WAS Jimmy Johnson's cup of tea. He was reportedly unhappy in Stillwater and couldn't have his full outside social life in Stillwater. Under a microscope. Sure, he was married, but he still liked to be active. That marriage didn't last too much longer--5 years at UM then on to Dallas. Somewhere along the way his marriage ended and he moved on.

And don't ask me my "sauces" on JJ. Too long ago and I don't remember. Besides, they might be dead, for all I know. Just like half the people I used to know are.

The air is getting thin around here.

Just watched the OU-UM game from '86. Boy have things changed. Those fast little wishbone QBs couldn't hit the broadside of a barn...and there were probably no barns within miles of the old OB. So maybe that's not the right way to describe it.
