I always felt Miami would get out priced when it came to HC and Assistant Coaches. For some reason 400 - 500 is rattling around in my head.

I agree that was a big part of it, but I gauruntee he would have taken a job almost anywhere for 250k raise he just wasn't offered them because he can't recruit.
This is stupid.Different topic altogether but the argument about paying players is really irrelevant. The number of schools that can shrug-off that additional $2,000,000 a year in payroll for players is limited to maybe 10 to 15 universities. It's a nonstarter and it will never happen. The information is right there for anyone who wants to research it. Once you get past the Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, etc. most sports programs are lucky to break even and that's with football already paying the bills for sports no one cares about like Women's basketball which lose most universities $2,000,000 a year.
You think the hockey team at Miami brings in as much as the football team? This is stupid.
Every school that has a football team is making WAY more than $2m in profit from football. Thats just a ******* fact. And btw the "expense" of a scholarship is also complete bs. Do you actually believe schools are losing money by giving players scholarships? At most athletes account for like 5% of all enrollment and Its not a ******* cost at all. The Academic institution is operating the exact same.
Secondly its complete bs that only 15 schools are profiting off their athletic programs. If that were the case how they **** are they paying for all their athletic buildings and their salaries? Like have you even ever thought this through? If schools weren't profiting off these sports, they wouldn't have them. Thats just how the market works.
Lastly why are you punishing football for it? Football is the sport that makes $50M+ in profit in the case of schools like Alabama (and thats after paying Saban $12m/yr). Why can't football players profit? This is complete BS that every athlete needs to be payed the same amount as football players.
....At the very least, and there should be absolutely no debate about this, players should be able to profit off thier own image. They should be able to sell autographs. they should be able to sign endorsements, etc whatever.
Ok Bamarerro. The Jig is up.He goes to coach in the big leagues of college football, with one of the best head coaches ever in college, and some how he is the loser here.
