its very simple really he cant run the ball cuz theres no push on the line the leading rusher kt cant get above 2.5 ypc right now but of course that will never get better in 4 yrs whats the point he should just quit now right? lol atleast the coaches are getting martez ivey, fred johnson, tyler jordan etc out there alot as freshmen so they can take their licks now and comeback experienced at sophmores

and matt jones is making some noise in the nfl right now matter fact i bet he has a better career then your golden boy dukey

Mcgahee was good but Gore was a straight stud outa HS....had 500+ yds @ 9 ypc as a frosh behind portis & most certainly woulda started in 2002 had he not torn his acl

Gore would have been the greatest running back of all time but for those terrible injuries. Sheeeeet, he built a Hall of Fame career on no knees.

man Scarlett is gonna be alright alot of you guys want him to fail because he didn't pick miami, he is better then cronk some guy just adjust to the college game at different times Lenard fournette was looking a little overrated this time last year.

He was averaging 5 yds a carry at this same date last year. How is that considered a little overrated for a true freshman that early into their career?

Some of yall making it seem as if Fournette was killing it... He was not... He was decent against weak opponents but was a no show against good defenses... He came out against UF but still had his struggles... Thanks to ULM and NMSU he average 5 yards a game but he didn't start wrecking defenses until about week 6... It takes time to adjust...

If you even watched him a little bit last year he looked top shelf from the start. Nobody denied it except for idiot Cane fans. Dumbest sports fans in America, by a wide margin.

He showed potential... But he wasn't top shelf man... A premiere talent that needed to adjust to college ball... As for being a bust, you're right... He showed enough talent to see he was special talent... But he still needed to adjust to the game... Anyway he's definitely living up to the hype now... Fournette, Cook and Chubbs are doing their thing... However, Yearby and a few others aren't too far behind. It's a special group of backs. They're bringing the position back...

That class also has Perine from okla, Mack from usf, Hood from unc, Freeman from Oregon, and London from msu.

Definitely a deep running back class

I didn't say he was performing at that level, but if you watched him through the first couple of games you could tell he was going to be special. Forget about the yardage at that point. You knew it was just a matter of time before he broke through and adjusted to the speed of the game. Too bad Yearby doesn't have that top end break away speed or he would be right there.

Cronkrite is just outplaying him. Cronkrite isn't half as talented, but he 'gets it.' He's a very polished runner in the sense that he sees a hole, hits it, keeps his pad low, and moves the pile. He's good for about 4 yards a pop. Scarlett on the other hand seems to be looking for the big play every time he runs, he refuses to just hit the hole. He waits for blocks to come wide open and considering the state of our o-line, it's just not gonna happen. But other than that he's good, the coaches love him and he had a chance to be our #1 just two weeks ago but Cronkrite has been outplaying him in games.

Oh okay I understand. I definitely agree. I believe even before the rushing yardage started to pick up he was running kick returns back... You're right he definitely showed talent... Yearby is fine... He doesn't have to be Fournette... He's balling... I still don't think he's on Duke level but he can be very productive. Sort like Dion Lewis once Shady left Pitt...
