Jeff Thomas deep

Slowest fast guy I’ve ever seen

Usually your takes areagreesively one sided but I said the same thing on the game thread and got negged. JT had a punt return and couldn’t outrun the Chippewas to the sideline. Did is fast but it’s almost like he has no clue how to use it. It’S weird.

I believe the commentators commented on this as well; that JT was wide open for a TD b/c JW went the safe route w the underneath.

Through this bye week, really hoping we start stretching the field, b/c as the comp gets tougher & tougher, the dinks & donks will not be effective. It’ll be another UVA situation where they just sit on everything.

How bout we stop with the under center PA bs when we don't even run anyways and stick with the shotgun.

Quit making your noob QB turn his back to the defense with this OL.

Honestly, Jarren takes the snap and turns around like a foreign dignitary shaking hands at a diplomatic tea party.... no urgency

It wasn’t wide open though. Maybe if it was a seen or post route he was running. There is a DB sitting outside of JT

Against FSU NKosi saw more pressure than Jarren did against Florida... Brian Burns around the edge and Marvin Austin up the middle but he still did enough to come back and win the game.

As far his overall play last season he was under completely different circumstances that were supposedly resolved under this new staff.... Predictable offense, players saying that defenses knew the plays before the snap. the coaching staff never got fully behind Nkosi as the starting qb over Malik. And Jon Richt was the qb Coach.
The amount of pressure n’kosi saw vs FSU compared to Jarren vs uf is not even close come on now...

The db was right there, I don’t see how people don’t see that lol, when Thomas May have been open, Jarren was still rolling out and didn’t have his feet and hips in line ready to make that throw. Also it looked like he hesitated a bit after completing the rollout to process things a little

Many thanks, Roman...

Sorry. Get technical in print and try to be more simple on video. A smash concept is a very common staple in every single offense down to even the high school level.

The slot receiver runs a corner route
The outside runs an out (z-out or a stop)

Sorry I get more technical in print and usually try to talk plain in videos. It is a habit. But this is what is called a "Smash concept" There is variants where the outside receiver does a stop or simple outs as well. On the play listed in the video the two receivers run a "smash" and Mallory essentially drags across the field in the middle of these two routes

Like the plenty (heavy sarcasm) of deep balls he completed last year? Oh wait... his longest pass completed in terms of yards traveled was 29 yards to Brevin that ended in a 41 yard td catch
Perry wasn't missing wide open guys last year. His problem was trying to make something happen that was not there in that elementary playbook. Don't act blind like you aren't seeing a guy who is not throwing guys open(including shots down the field).
Dink and donk that's all were seeing with any consistency. It's not good enough when you have playmakers and speed on your offense. There isn't even a real threat to go deep bc of arm strength and not being a gamer. Yeah, we might throw a few to the other teams, but a least you know we have the capability of coming right back at them and hitting them over the head with burners. They will fear the deep ball or get beat by the deep ball. Safeties have to stay deep and corners can't sit on shorter routes. Perry improved under this new staff and started taking being a P5 qb serious. All i hear is JW is a rFresh and needs to gain more experience to develop. Well dam, why didn't Perry warrant such pity as he withstood a prehistoric offensive system that shouldn't have even been allowed in cfb. But you who settle for mediocrity will always want to continue doing the same thing hoping for different results. Every fanbase has some, so it is what it is.

Majority of Jarren passing yardage is coming from throws 10 yards and up but continue the “dink and dunk” mantra. A problem that not many people are speaking about is the fact that after the catch guys are not doing much with the ball. If you look at bama’s offense they don’t throw deep that often, they abuse teams with quick passing in the intermediate range for the most part. They have 2 receivers top 5 in yards after catch. I know We have good receivers but they have to do more with the ball in their hands when the opportunity is available.

Funny how no one accuses Tua of “dink and dunking” yet the depth of his passes through three games are near identical of jarrens. It’s almost as if enos is doing what worked well at bama for tua in terms of depth of passes.... hint hint

plus y’all remember what you want to anyways but Perry missed guys too for sure. With that being said Jarren definitely has as well and needs more experience to rectify that issue in his game as well as the obvious one the deep ball.

Another thing, we have 3 receivers 6’0 under, help the qb out and get some bigger receivers out there on these deep ball passes. Watch clemson offense, Lawrence has been underthrowing the deep ball all year but he has 2 6’4 receivers to bail him out and position themselves to make those catches. Let’s see some bigger guys out there even in the redzone where Jarren can just throw it up for the guys to get it

And make the qb lose confidence? For what?
If he loses confidence, then he's not built for this anyhow. Perry faced worst circumstances last season and you guys had no pity for his subpar play in a scrub offensive system. Stop being soft on these players, their parents are already hurting them with that bs. So you're saying he's going to sustain confidence playing against better defenses than CMU. Boy y'all soft, i see why the players today are soft

All those offenses play with more space than this offense. Having more space creates more 1on1's and more chaces to make plays. And also overall tua and jarren the depth of the passes may the same but i have seen tua attempt and complete throws downfield.

My biggest thing is jarren isn't even attempting the throws. At least show the defense you are willing to take shots and give them something to think about.
